A Texas fan wouldn’t want her in a 6-2 lol they’d want her instead of Swindle. That Texas fan, I for one believe in Swindle. JE is hugely complimentary of Swindle not only as a player but as a person. I don’t want to recruit over her. (Besides, you can’t recruit over her, she’s too tall for anyone to be ‘over’ her  ) We also have a 5’10” setter from Hawaii coming in, so I don’t know how much a transfer there would do for us from the backup perspective |

Nothing was “pulled”. Akana started at Nebraska as a walk-on. The difference of opinion comes when a walk-on athlete feels they’ve earned an available scholarship through their play thus far and the coaches feel the scholarship would be best used for someone else. There are understandable feelings on both sides. The athlete has worked hard and given a lot to the team. The coach is required to look at the big picture and choose what the team needs most for success the next year. This is not true. Kay was recruited on scholarship and was on that scholarship the first two seasons, fact. She would not have come to Nebraska otherwise. She was also promised a third year, and did not get it. When she told the coach she was entering the transfer portal, only then did that offer for the third year come. Fact. |
