Is it always known that someone is in the portal or do they have to choose to announce it themselves? I thought there would be more in there. The portal is widely accessible but not publicly accessible. I certainly don’t have access. But there are enough people on volleytalk that do that for at least the bigger names they get reported fairly quickly after they hit. There is a “Do not contact” option but that doesn’t hide their name. It just makes it known they’re not interested in being recruited. The bigger portal period is always going to be the first one, for a variety of reasons. That’s in all sports. |

It’s extremely difficult for a G5 program like UH to land Fab 50s. The P5 schools have so much to offer in terms of money, facilities, prestige and academic, that it would take something special to land them. Maybe the player have family here or this is their dream school or stuff of that nature., then we would have a chance but without that, it’s a dogfight to beat out other big schools. A school like Hawaii realistically should be getting the 3 stars like Mili, Victoria and Maddie. These are the more realistic targets to go after. According to Volleyballrecruiter.com, Mili, Maddie and Victoria are all on the 3 star list so we got players that are perfect fits. Chalei could be somebody that could be top 100 next season . Not to be funny,but volleyballrecruiter.com isn’t a trusted source. |

Acevedo followed Wisconsin volleyball on Instagram! But also added Baylor, Minnesota, and ASU, and no longer Hawaii. Still San Diego and Pepperdine. Shes looking at several options. |

I’m sure Wisconsin fans would be jazzed to have her. She saw how fun it is to play in the field house @ elite 8. She’d be close to a lovb pro team. We don’t have a ton of depth at OH with Franklin and Orzol (who also plays well at Libero). Also a new fresh that may make Olympics for long jump so we may not see her join team until late summer. Plus it’s my understanding we have a scholarship available! Wishful thinking!!! 🦡🦡🦡🦡🦡. She has to do what is best for her and I know I’m biased! |
