Congrats to the Cardinal for the win and advancing to the Sweet 16. I do agree with the sentiment that while the Cardinal are incredible, at times they can equally as bad within the same match.
If the Cardinal can keep their level of play high, they have what it takes to win it all.
Houston, it was a pleasure watching you this weekend! Congrats on a very good season.

Child Texas was not believing a 5th place big 12 team was knocking off Stanford in their house, in the second round💀 we’re waiting for ASU to do that in the 3rd🤭 To set up the ASU v. TN showdown for a Final 4 berth, naturally. |

That fifth had way more to do with Houston getting nervous than Stanford playing well. I think they just started thinking too much like "Oh %*$# we might do this thing" I....dont know about that. Stanford bagged something like 8 kills and 4 blocks in a set to 15. I'd say they took the bull by the horns. (Absolutely no pun intended to the Texas fans!) |

Stanford got swept by ASU at Tempe and they swept ASU at home.
Both matches were blow outs...

Stanford looked like the better team throughout the night. But their defense looked asleep for quite a bit of the match. Great effort by UH. I really like Rehr as a coach. Houston has potential, especially with their move to the Big 12 and how open that conference is going to be with Texas gone. I don't think they're going anywhere. That's really the concern for the Card, their defense disappear at times. |
