Given Penn State's 33-13 record against Wisconsin, the 2013 NCAA championship match, disparity in national championships and conference championships, it would take decades for Wisconsin to get anything resembling revenge against Penn State. A journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step. I had 3-11 before your volleyball origin story, rainbowbadger, but at least I attended 2 of the 3 wins and taped the first ever win in Unhappy Valley in 2002.

The badgers were a 4th seed in 2013 (12th overall). The comment about Kentucky was a separate thought. Kentucky is the 2nd seed in their region, but the 8th seed overall. I was saying If Kentucky beats the number 1 team in the conference, why should I care if their overall seeding is 8. The overall point is that the seeding doesn't matter much. IF GT beats the huskers I's be worried about them too. If GT knocks off Nebraska on Thursday they are taking out a team with a real shot making it easier for the other teams with real shots. GT has a real chance to take out Nebraska. But do they have a real chance to take out Nebraska, Kentucky, Pitt/ Louisville and then Wisconsin/Stanford in the final? I would say not really. There are some great teams that I think can cause some big upsets but I still think it’s a 5 maybe 7 team race at best this year. When was the last time a team came out of nowhere and won? 2011 UCLA? As Wisconsin being the team in that 5 I would like to see win it all I would like to see the other 4/6 knocked out. Huh, tell me more about this "real chance." I'm genuinely interested.

Why are we talking about GT and Nebraska in this thread? Don't y'all have your own thread?

Saw this (Breaking News?) on Page 5 of the 'Sweet 16: ASU @ Stanford' thread:

Stanford's court looks so much cheaper and worse than the other three regionals. Not great for the ESPN broadcast. ...
Personally? Don't know, don't care. I guess we'll see what Bucky's installers will do.

Sheff's comment has always been 'it's too expensive'. I think it would be great, Teraflex is supposed to be better for the athletes regarding avoiding injuries, plus, I just like how clean & sharp Teraflex floors look.

Back when they used to hold open practices for the teams during NCAA weeks, after a UW practice, Dana was still on the court doing some extra stretching near where the dozen of us who showed up were sitting, so she was talking with us, answering questions, etc. Someone asked about the SportCourt and then about TeraFlex and she said she very much preferred TeraFlex, but NCAA didn't use it because of the cost.

I think that was rented, AFAIK Wisconsin does not have their own Teraflex floor.

Single match/day tickets supposedly on sale at 9 AM today.
There was a matter of a very few seconds when the seating chart showed "pink" for a handful of sections, but if there were any actual seats available in those sections, I did not find them. Within a matter of maybe ten seconds of not finding them, I did a refresh on the whole chart, and it had gone to all grey, ie no tickets available. So I guess it's possible that some few people did get tickets this AM, but.... I'm skeptical.
