This is way bigger than just for the national championship...this is for Transfer U Supremacy! What an original and insightful take on this match. The thread is much more enjoyable when the intellectuals weigh-in. My take is coaches are going to have to find the balance between incoming freshmen and transfer players. I think Nebraska is in a tough position actually because this is their team for a least the next two years. No big time player will be transferring to Nebraska this offseason. The risk of not playing is too high. Same thing goes for the 2024 class. Any recruit next year spends a least one year on the bench (not necessarily a bad thing). Top teams like Wisconsin will be able to fill their holes with proven college players. Especially with one more year of Covid seniors. Someone could argue Nebraska is doing it right (although they just upgraded hugely from a Florida transfer) but all teams are playing within the rules. The transfer portal changes the sport. I also know past players who felt stuck under coaches they could not stand because transferring was so complicated. For that reason I definitely like that it’s been made easier.

All correct. Penn State is in an excellent position to have 2 blue chip recruits like Falduto and Stark step in immediately. Potential transfers out there are thrilled to see this and couple that with a chance to play with All B1G (most likely All Americans) like Jess Mruzik and Camryn Hannah on the pins, PSU is an instant contender and will mostly likely be better than this year's team. Katie is working that balance of recruits and Transfers like a Chess Master.

With attendance exploding and the popularity growing, when will the NCAA go to neutral sites and now gift-wrap Final Four opportunities. Hopefully never. Attendance is exploding for home matchups. It's still not the MBB though in terms of overall interest. Heck, did you look at the vacant seats at Stanford?

Isn’t this suppose to be somewhat neutral? Nope. Except for tiny little parts where we can't drum out "Point Wisconsin" or have WI-themed video presentations. In the regionals the floor is also sport court. And Bonnie Oleson tries to act slightly less excited when she says "Point, Wisconsin."

Thanks Rainbow. Looking forward to this one in Madison with Anna back on the floor. I believe The Badgers will be ready to rumble and move on. Go Badgers. With Anna back and if TTA can keep it rolling like she did in the first 2 rounds the badgers will be a very tough out. And GG balled out tonight. Then get Dev at the top of her game...

With attendance exploding and the popularity growing, when will the NCAA go to neutral sites and now gift-wrap Final Four opportunities. It is a big jump from great crowds in home sites to great crowds at neutral sites. Women's basketball (which has a healthy head start in popularity) just went to neutral sites for the Sweet 16 and Elite 8 last year, and they still have a very different format where two sites host eight teams each. That would be the recipe the NCAA would follow since you have a far better chance at packing a place if you have eight teams bring fans to two sites than if you have four and four. I guess if you compared prior years to this year for exploding attendance. However, still a long way to go to filling neutral site venues. So many empty seats at 2nd round games with regionals on the line at many venues. Stanford? Really? Look at that attendance last night. I know of an outside who plays for one of the top teams in the country who didn't go there because of such poor attendance, and last night we saw why.

me from two years ago would swing on me today for rooting for Penn state go lions
It's not difficult to comprehend following your victory in a five-setter against "whoever I forgot the name." You must have hit your all-time low in self-assurance.
literally what fan in the entire world would be rooting for one of the other best teams in the ncaa to keep advancing? i would be rooting for Penn State even if stanford mopped Houston - bc im not an idiot would u rather play stanford or asu in the final 4? knowing your take in the starters thread the other day im assuming your gonna find a way to somehow double down and make another bad one lol

My take in the starters thread has legal grounds to support. You may not like it, that's fine. We are not taking it to the court.
Speaking of bad take, since you brought it up, aren't you the one suggesting to sit Smrek in our team thread early? Talking about bad take, huh? lol

I dont think ur lying but I dont remember having that take cause i've always thought smrek was huge advantage to have also confused bc you didnt respond to 99% of my post - would u rather play a 1 or a 4 seed in the final four?

I have Nebraska Pitt, Texas and Wisconsin in my bracket. Check it out in the bracket thread. Who do you have?
Edit: about sitting Smrek, it is a serious of conversations on around August 14. This is one of the best one.
That's the lineup every other fan desires to see-- Bench an 6'9, why not? Its good for us.
smirk puts up the same blocking numbers as Robinson but is a less offensive of a weapon on the right side, cc is also probably your alls best blocker... removing smrek and replacing her with Robinson does nothing to hurt the block, but it would likely hurt the offense, or at least not maximize it. as a fan of other schools, I would personally love for them to keep smrek on the floor and bench one of the other 3 lmao

im not asking who you have in your bracket... im asking if you would rather wisconsin face a 1 seed or a 4 seed because that is what you made a post criticizing me for. very black and white question lol im not cheering for Penn State bc I want my bracket to be right, im cheering for them bc I dont want to face wisconsin which most fans would take as a compliment but somehow you're mad ab it?

I agree with your point, but I think we really need to see Wisconsin v. Stanford. It certainly has the potential to be an "epic" match [as Sheffield would say]. Franklin, Kipp, Smrek, Miner et al; big deal!
