Team Metrics from Volleydork (Massey sort) Encouraging (or discouraging?) to see most sites have us in the 14-17 range. Evollve #15 Pablo #14 AVCA #16 Massey #17 💩 RPI #28 I wish we could have pulled off one or two of the TCU/Baylor/USC matches to get us over this large hump we're facing regarding hosting. Also, 43.9% good pass. 🙈 maybe not surprising that our OOS attack % is in the top 5%... our good pass % is worst among the Massey top 20 the difference between H% and opponent H% is greater than .100 for the top 9. ours is 14th of 17 at .073 by these metrics you'd think that Creighton is the best team in the country. they are the only team whose differential between H%s is over .200, nearly .250!! Dayton at #20 is the other non power-4 conference team in the top 20. They also hit over .100 pt better than their opponents. The problem with seeding Creighton is that their competition in the Big East, save Marquette, is essentially nil. What were their H% splits in their challengingly scheduled non-conference? Stanford's Hambley is committed to high pressure serving with its concomitant SE increase (thus the bottom 5% in SA/SE ratio) does a casual fan have access to the volleydork addressable database? Pitt's differential is also above .200 Hit% .343 Opp Hit% .113. Creighton's non-conference average H% vs OH% was .288 vs .146 Opponent Hpct Ohpct North Carolina St .385 .134 Missouri .358 .252 Drake .231 -.010 USC .324 .233 Kansas St .340 .112 at Nebraska .209 .234 Northern Iowa at Louisville .216 .080 Rice at Louisville .262 .060 at Louisville .146 .133 Purdue at Kansas .274 .209 at Kansas .426 .171 |

Looks like our right side attack struggles the most based off of this graphic.
ETA: our MB offense is pretty on par with the rest of the teams (with a few outliers) pretty good considering we are the most OOS of any team.

That felt like a gentlemen's agreement to go the distance into extra points. Ugh they had their chances but honestly? Pleasantly surprised in a hostile environment. They played very tough. Hanson's senior campaign will be special.

a bad snap from the center and blaming the QB for a 10 yard loss. The anology of a "bad" pass in vball would just be a low snap, but otherwise perfectly capable of salvaging the play. Snapping it over their head, as you're trying to imply here, would be shanking the pass out of bounds or over the net. |

And the Shaffmaster era ends its run against our chief rival and on the actual BTN channel with a loss ... on a weak Shaff lefty swipe attempt and then how else ... a slow, high ball set ... to the outside ... roofed.

I'll probably tune into see the last time Shaff & Awoleye step onto the Pav for game. But other than that, that's the last time I'll see the Shaff era on TV.
I don't pay extra for Plus services to watch above-average volleyball.
Won't host. Won't make it out of the first weekend.
