ASU really gave us the business whew thank god we were able to get a grip and pull through. I think this match will serve us well on Saturday and (hopefully) beyond

Side note: The Stanford line up has some serious beauties led by Kipp and Vicini. The girls are really serving mug and real hair all the way around Elena Oglivie is one of the prettiest people i’ve ever seen |

Very true. And Rubin and Kipp really stepped up to cover for her lack of offensive output. We are lucky to have the three of them Kipp had the numbers that kept us close but I think Rubin was by far the MVP! Her plays just swung momentum Rubin's entire game is maturing very quickly. Her ball control combined with her speed and offensive pop is a deadly combination. |

ASU was so scrappy - their defense picked up so many balls that should have gone down. There was one particular play where Rubin went over on 2 and Schroll was able to dig her. As a Stanford fan, had to respect her hustle and toughness. Her 30 dogs definitely kept ASU in the match; she gets my MVP award for the match, tbh.

ASU was so scrappy - their defense picked up so many balls that should have gone down. There was one particular play where Rubin went over on 2 and Schroll was able to dig her. Yeah, just got back from the match and Schroll was fantastic. Balls just wouldn't hit the floor. Fortunately Stanford's D was pretty strong overall too. IMO it was one of Baird's best matches on the back row. She struggled attacking but at least made up for it with D and serving. Texas will be a much different opponent. They will be more terminal but their passing and D won't be as good. Texas has been known to start slow, so if Stanford can get out of the gate without too many errors, they should be able to win the first set. |
