Info: Per the ticketing main page (link in OP), session, Thu-only, and Sat-only tickets go on sale 05-Dec (Tuesday) at 10:00am ET. Season ticket holders were given early access, but not for their usual seats. I'm not sure my back can handle the benches in the upper tier. Nothing in the lower tier is available on Saturday, with some lower tier availability Thursday afternoon.

Looonnnnngg time lurker here. Making my first post to say the Fitz is going to be chaos on Thursday. Get there early and take some deep breaths. I've been going to Pitt volleyball matches a long time. But even fairly recently people weren't showing up to watch a good Pitt team play other good teams. I just randomly looked up the box score of No. 13 Pitt's sweep of No. 12 Washington at home in 2018: 468 people (and that's generous) had the pleasure of witnessing it on a Saturday afternoon.
They tried to set the program attendance record (at the time held by a Penn State match, bolstered by a good chunk of Penn State fans) early this year against Kentucky, and they couldn't even get it (though it was a big crowd). But the Fieldhouse has been pretty full all year, and then they shattered the record against Louisville, and the Fieldhouse was jam-packed for the pre-Thanksgiving Wednesday evening finale. They doubled their first/second-round attendance compared to just last year. They've finally really blown up. Well-timed for the new arena.

Who the !!!!###$$$!!! decided to have this match in the middle of the afternoon on a Thursday?!?! I don't understand the point in fighting all season to obtain a top seed and host the first 3 rounds of the tournament if most of your fan base will either be in class or working during the most important match before the final four? I'm livid

My daughter and I have been to a few matches at the Pete but this is our first at the Fieldhouse. We're from NJ, so driving 5+ hours and staying at a hotel about 10 miles away. How is the parking? Or do you think Uber is better? Also, upper level is GA so how early do you suggest we arrive?

Or do you think Uber is better? Also, upper level is GA so how early do you suggest we arrive? The parking is generally what I would call "fine." The main lot is the OC Lot, up near the Fieldhouse. Certain aspects can be annoying, such as the single-car line that forms to pay and get in, which means during crowded matches, it can take some time to park. It can also take some time to get out of the lot after the match. You've likely parked in that lot before, though, if you've been to the Pete. However, this will be a mid-week, mid-day match. I think that will probably make things worse, because the lot is also used for University commuters during the day. I couldn't tell you how much worse it will be, but almost certainly worse. If taking an Uber is no big deal for you, I think I personally would lean that way. But getting picked up after probably won't be super easy, either, due to the traffic. You might consider post-match dinner -- or even just a walk -- in the area, if you're OK walking down the hill to the lower part of campus and the weather is cooperative. In terms of arriving early, I suppose since Pitt is the second match, it might not be the case that folks are arriving and filling up GA well ahead of the first match, so if you intend on going to both matches, maybe it's not all that important to be there super early, just as early as you'd normally arrive. But I really don't know what it will be like for the first match and hesitate to give bad advice. If Pitt were the first match, I'd say you'd want to be in line when the doors open an hour before first serve.

Also, upper level is GA so how early do you suggest we arrive? there's parking right across the street in the OC lot/garage. 20 dollars for basketball but i'm not sure what the price will be for VB. cash only. also the fact that it's midweek during the afternoon means there will be a bunch of staff/students parked there so it could be crowded. there's other parking in oakland but it might involve a bit of a walk to get to the field house if the lot is full.
