My favorite thing about Greeny is that she puts literally zero effort into pronouncing her players’ names correctly even though they come from all over the world. It’s all English to Jen. wait whose name does she not pronounce correctly?😭 she helped me learn how to say Magda’s last name (after telling me I could just call her “Queen Magda” every time instead LMAO) Argentina is one. I’ve never heard a harder J sound in my whole life. |

Many years ago, a Golf announcer told a story about pronouncing Jesper Parnevik's name. The announcer had previously asked Jesper how to pronounce his name. Then... a bunch of Europeans criticized him for mis-pronouncing the name. The announcer later asked Jesper about it and found out that when he is in the USA, Jesper pronounces his name differently than he does when he is in Europe. In the USA, Argentina is pronounced with a "j". |

Poor passing has been a problem for WSU all year. I was worried about Dayton because they were a highly rated serving team, but WSU passed fairly well in that match. Unfortunately, the passing woes returned in this match.

Kinda feels like the entire Wazzu program is ending with this match. I know that's dramatic, but what exactly is the plan for next year with 10 graduating seniors and zero recruits? Only 8 players went through Senior ceremonies this year. I assume everyone else is returning (although the portal can always change that).
Players I hope will return: DS/L: Logann Golden, Emma Barbero S: Argentina Ung OH: Magdalena Juric MB: Jasmine Martin, Lucie Blazkova, Shea Rubright (I assume Shea applied for a Medical Redshirt for 2022)
OPP: Katy Ryan
The biggest need, of course, is Outside Hitters (Juric only played a few points this year). All other positions have good quality returners.

My comment was mostly in jest but the tone didn’t come through I guess - However, you can go to the WSU website roster and listen to Argentina say her own name, specifically for the purpose of helping those who look at the roster pronounce her name.
