I’m just excited for the season to start and really glad we still have Kate to ease in the freshman. It’s going to be so different without Amber but I can’t wait to see what Mili can do as well as Stella getting more playing time I hope! I expect that we are gonna have quite a lot of ups and downs I’m preparing for.

Really we are on the losing side of recruiting. While other midmajors like Creighton, USD, and LBSU keep on getting the better transfers. The AD really need to shake things up in the coaching team. I hope they do it soon.

I'm very encouraged by what Robyn had to say about her outlook on the season. She knows she's lost some key pieces but she seems to be ready to take on the challenge and "coach the girls up" as she put it. Also, Tayli looks snatched! I'm expecting her and Kate to anchor this team and have great senior campaigns. GO BOWS!

The Wahine advanced to the 2nd round in 2021, fell in the 1st round in 2022 and then rebounded in 2023 to reach the 2nd round.

I hope they do it soon. Better transfers doesn’t always equate to being a better team. You also got to factor in the fact that Robyn looks for fit more than straight up talent. If the kid can play but is not team oriented, doesn’t enjoy community service or repping your school and state, then Robyn probably doesn’t go after such kids. LBSU has gotten some talented kids but they haven’t had the level of success UH have had. Going to post season every season Robyn coached here is unmatched by any other coach in the BW.

UH Manoa Athletic Department has a history of running in the red, needing State and University plus ups to cover the bills. Since they have no excess revenue to share, it's not a given they'd elect the P4 revenue sharing model per the settlement. So, it's not a given they'd have roster caps or changes to their available scholarships.

Keeping roster numbers and staff positions low reduces current expenses and intensifies the weight of the program succeeding on those remaining. It concentrates risk and reward on a smaller number of participants. However, roster and staff growth can be viewed as forms of program insurance and growth capital expenditures. Skimping on program insurance and growth capital expenditure is what you do when you lack resources or have a negative growth vision of your future. You attempt to milk what remaining cash you can from your business/program before disaster rolls around.
