I think we should stop the speculation with who is on scholarship already. Some are obvious but others maybe not. There are ways to get money for SA other than athletic scholarships.
They may be certain players that qualify for other grants/scholarship money due to their ethnicity/academic major/citizenship, etc…
If the men’s volleyball team can pack 21 players on a team with 4.5 available scholarships, the women can do so too. Of course, the woman can’t partial out scholarships but they can dip into NIL or availability of money UH academic side have for it students.
Bottom line is, if an impact players wants to come aboard, the coaches will find a way to get that player here.

I think I was misjudging things, but I always felt men's volleyball players just assumed that they would pay to play.....seeing that the scholarships available is so low. I guess I never thought that the University can help find other scholarships available. |

I guess I never thought that the University can help find other scholarships available. There are other scholarships available...but it's usually a huge pain. They don't want the university giving academic scholarships to get around the athletic scholarship cap for example, so any heavily contributing athlete that's on an academic (instead of athletic) scholarship is going to be scrutinized. It might be different now with NIL. That's a whole new thing and the supervision doesn't seem quite as scrutinized. |

I remedy WF gibberish by always signing in before reading anything on VT. That way, I avoid the aggravation and heartburn which is a huge benefit of the blocking feature. I honestly don't get why folks here don't just block this poster. It's a real easy solution.
