Still blows my mind how far ahead Kanoe is Kanoe was such a great get, especially coming out of Iolani where you know her academics was high. She started from Freshman day 1 in the rally scoring to 30 era. Plus she had terminators at almost all positions; Kim, Lily, Maja, Duggins, and Tano.

Still blows my mind how far ahead Kanoe is Kanoe was such a great get, especially coming out of Iolani where you know her academics was high. She started from Freshman day 1 in the rally scoring to 30 era. Plus she had terminators at almost all positions; Kim, Lily, Maja, Duggins, and Tano. She's also a great person. One afternoon before a Wahine volleyball match back in 2006 I was standing outside the SSC ticket window, fumbling with my wallet to pull out some cash to buy a ticket. I'd arrived early and no other fans were around me. At that moment I heard someone ask if I'd like a free ticket and I looked up and it was Kanoe! Apparently she had an extra and had left the SSC and come outside looking for someone to give it to. Lucky me, not because I saved the price of a ticket but because I got to say "thanks for the ticket and everything you do" to one of the greatest players in Wahine volleyball history. She was very kind and gracious.
