Oregon is my favorite and has some amazing players. Can't wait to watch McGhee and Pukis!

the core of this Oregon team has been in tough environments before - the YUM center regional final last year was packed and rowdy and Oregon nearly took the home team out. Gonzalez has played at wisco multiple times and been in the elite 8 so nothing new for her, and mghee has played in a rowdy Gregory a few times as well. Oregons too experienced to let the crowd affect them imo Kara McGhee has played vs Wisconsin at the Field House, as well. (The next question would be "has either ever won there?" :-o That I'd have to look up.) I looked. Interestingly, Gonzalez has only played in Madison against Wisconsin once, in 2021, and lost. McGhee has played twice, won in 2019, lost in 2021.

I think it's gonna be a great match-up. Oregons quick offense and Pukis is an amazing setter and and put of system creating good match-ups.
That said, I think Oregons size can at least get touches on Smerk and Booth. And if Oregon can serve tough and in system, their speed will give Wisconsin some trouble.
That said, just as with others, Wisconsins size will play a big factor in match-ups as well.

Wisconsin is obviously favored, but Ducks have nothing to lose and I hope they come out fighting.
You can do it, Ducks!

Let's go Ducks. Our fast offense should give Wisconsin trouble. Wisconsin will have learned from playing Pittsburgh last year and Louisville in 2021, both very fast offenses. Wisconsin in 4.

Shout out to Anna for her awesome cross court set to Franklin last night for a kill. One of the many doubles that didn't get called last night. :-) Penn State fans should not talk about uncalled doubles in last nights match.

One theory of the case seems to be that "speed" is something The Badgers never see or play against. Somebody may trot out some facts and figures to prove me wrong, but I'm going to say the best version of The Ducks is not better than Nebraska when they're passing 80% good passes and in system for basically a whole match. The Badgers have seen that. The Badgers went to Arkansas and played back to back etc. etc. The Badgers have "been around" this year. Nothing The Ducks can do will surprise them.
I'll also say that The Mike Tyson Rule is effect. The Ducks will know what it's like to play against 6'7" and 6'9" [and Caroline Crawford] when they actually do it. The NCAA D1 Stats through 12/7 have The Badgers at #1 w/ 3.06 blocks per set.
Offensively, The Badgers are #2 in hitting % @ .313 [Stanford is #1 @ .318]. Additionally, as previously mentioned in another post, The Badgers excel at scoring OOS.
The Badgers defense is underappreciated outside The BIG IMO. They are #3 in Oppo hitting % @ .143 [Pitt @ .135, Nebraska @ .136]. They will dig, scrap and grind all night.
Every match brings some surprises and I expect we'll see some. That said, The Badgers are going to win this match.

Louisville wasn't that fast in 2021, not faster than half the B1G is rn at least - Oregon this year is a good bit faster than those teams imo

Badgers are definitely the Goliath, but Ducks have a stronger punch than David. Their composure has been excellent this year and Hannah just keeps things steady. Go Ducks! Can’t wait for this match, hoping for a great battle!!
