Coming back to say that Hannah Pukis is a top 10 volleyball player in the country, regardless of position. If you even think about arguing with that, please watch her performance tonight and against Purdue. Goodnight

Congratulations to Wisconsin. That was the most dominating performance of the day against what I thought was the best opponent for any of the top seeds. Just wow! Oregon, thank you for an incredible season and Pukis you really are one of the best setters! I agree. Oregon is a really good team. That was a battle of 2 very strong, physical teams. Exciting match. So happy the Badgers won. Extremely entertaining.

can someone stitch all of pukis kills in a reel? it needs to be memorialized.
hope she gets drafted in PVF and we get to see her before she leaves for another country.

One of my favorite video. board clips as usual was the back and forth shots of Badger fans and Oregon fans. Duck fans embraced it, just like Pitt last year and the lady with the yellow jacket. Thanks for a least keeping that part of the cheering clean (it wasn't all PG though).

It was a serious ploy. Really obvious. Not sure what they saw. I’m guessing it had to do with her being Injured and her mobility being affected. Otherwise she’s a pretty solid passer (and I would argue that she actually was pretty solid tonight as well, considering). Coach White (simply) said in the post-Match interview on radio that, while film breakdown showed Gonzalez passing efficiently when the serve was directly towards her,... her reception was much weaker when she had to move her 'platform' to either side.

Mad respect for Oregon. They had more kills, more digs, and more aces than WI. They serve tough, pass well, get good block touches, and attack aggressively. So fun to watch! WI had insanely good blocking (really, all tournament) and much higher hitting efficiency, and that was enough to pull out the win.

You're playing to get into the final 4, the obvious ploy is to go after the one that's injured. She's a great passer, but with an obvious ankle injury that lateral movement especially is gonna be difficult for her. She's been great all season. Unfortunately the injury happened at exactly the wrong time. That said, hats off to Wisconsin for knowing this and going after her, thats solid strategy that you use when playing for a championship.
That also said, that's also, in essence not great strategy by Oregon. They had no one else. Everyone is red-shirting and had zero back-ups to the outside hitters.
You could also tell that it also affected her offense. That said, Gabby was better defensively than offensively. You could tell Pukis tried to go completely away from her in that 3rd and 4th set. It limited the Ducks options and made it easier for the Badgers overall.

With all the exiting seniors for Oregon, what does the line up look like for them next season? Granted they will probably get some transfers and maybe have some transfer out.

I actually thought that Gabby held up pretty well in SR. Better than I remember her doing in the B1G. Badgers usually get more change out of their service game, and they really just pounded her point after point. Your point about offense may have had something to do with that. So, Oregon has a lot of kids redshirting this year? Does it look like a good crop of underclasswomen?

At one point I asked Rainbowspouse “maybe we should try serving someone else?”

hi I know everyone (including me sometimes) give Gabby Gonzales flack, but the fact she was injured and passed a 2.44 on SEVENTY TWO PASSES against Wisconsin is INSANITY!!!!!
she passed over a 2.3 on 176(!!!) passes in the tournament. the next highest receiver on Oregon was Georgia Murphy with 25!
