If they do show up. It will be only to inform us that today’s game has proven them right and Skinner’s last name got all those kills for her today. However, if Texas had lost today; they would’ve been proven right because that means she’s not her and her last name could only carry her that far. Besides just getting out blocked and out served, the Cardinal lack that one alpha female on their side. They are as talented as they come and have one of the most complete 6 rotation outsides in the country to compliment a devastating opposite but nothing to really spark a fire.
Miner is a wonderful setter but in my opinion she is getting outplayed by some of her counterparts like Fairbanks, Pukis and Bergen.
Edit: Like I said, the middles can (and did) make all the difference. Bella and Asjia a strong net presence and while Bella's offensive numbers wasn't anything to die over, her last kill was one of the million daggers that took Stanford down.
Jenna's stat line also isn't noteworthy in the context of what her peers bring but she didn't hurt Texas with bad hitting errors and even pounded down some kills in the fourth.

Rubin has the fire / intensity but she doesn’t have the physicality to carry a team. Kipp and Baird needed to step up but didn’t. Miner was off in crunch time. Congrats Texas Can't believe Kipp went out like that. She got the last two swings too. Well, I can, but still . . . I hope she figures it out at the next level. Although she has a ton of work to do on out of system, learning how to hit D ball, left side (like hello you spent a season there why can’t you put the ball down lol) |

Not surprised by the outcome. No leadership and no intensity from this team. I don't see Stanford doing much for the foreseeable future. They have an insane recruiting class what do you mean lol They still have to perform on the court. They will do "well" in the grand scheme of things but not by Stanford standards. |

I feel so bad for Kipp  Don't feel bad. She had the incredible privilege of playing for one of the top programs and she has a national championship already. |
