He is sitting there with 2 of his players, all there to discuss Pitt in the semi final, and he keeps getting questions about NE and Ne Players. You don't see anything disrespectful about that. Well I do, and I'm a NE fan. agreed, I 100% understand wanting to focus on your own team's strengths and accomplishments during a press conference before your FF match where the other team is favored to win. he probably answered with his team in mind, and wants to boost their own strengths up to the public/media rather than focus on the other team's strengths. I don't think his answer was disrespectful at all. Maybe not the absolute best-conceivable-magical-media-trained answer known to man, but he's here to coach volleyball. Also, these people have relationships beyond what they say about each other in the media. I'm sure he's proud of her as her former coach, but this is about his team right now, in an incredibly intense moment and I get him wanting to center that in the conversation. Yes it is his team, but they have an opponent, and the media isn’t there for their team, they’re there to cover that match, vs Nebraska. It would have been a million times weirder had they not asked specific questions about Nebraska, and or their players. |

Off topic but does anyone else think Kevin Bacon and Willem Dafoe got into Seth’s teleportation device and came out as John Cook? …. these are the things that keep me up at night Off off topic, but Dafoe is from Wisconsin - Appleton - and spent a year (?) at UW- Milwaukee. He was a year ahead of me in junior high. I remember him being on the track team and maybe football. So I'll assume he's rooting for the Badgers. :-) |
