So, I know the huskers pretty well. Pitt looked great the last three sets against Louisville. What are their weaknesses? I'm hearing passing? Relative to how good they are offensively and defensively yes I think there’s room for improvement on their passing. Their libero Klika is obviously very good. Actually a top 3-5 best passer out of all the elite 8 players based off stats. I know she passes above a 2.30 on the season at least. Look for Stafford to be very heavily targeted, she’s not horrible (especially for a freshman) but definitely the consistent weak link.

It was in the first two sets. Those sets were pretty close though. It felt like Louisville just couldn't keep the level of play up and wore down as opposed to Pitt faltering. But I was drifting in and out of sleep (there was a lot of vball this weekend and I needed a nap).

These teams are soooo similar on paper it’s hard to tell who has any sort of advantage. But Pitt please I need at least one exciting thing to happen this tournament so in Rachel Fairbanks we trust 🙏🏼

And Krause is actually better blocker than both of them. Someone gets it Is Krause on a bad ankle really better than both of them? Jordan also said that they are not only thinking immediate team success but also Lindsay’s long term career.

Don’t expect Krause to see the court unless Ally really starts to struggle. They’re in a routine and rhythm and there’s no need to shake it up (imo). Ally has a great block on the left. Will pair super well against their Opps. Expect to see a lot of service pressure from Nebraska on Stanford. She struggles the most. Expect to see Pitt target Murray. Although, statistically Murray is the better passer between the 2.

Next stop, Tampa. That likes some AI generated stuff after someone typed "Hanging corn art work in Nebraska airport" into ChatGPT. Someone tell me that's not real. It's so real I'm currently shopping a kidney to bring this gem to Lincoln.

Something that will look familiar to Nebraska fans about Pitt is that they usually play all three pins for six rotations (like Arkansas). It saves them subs and that enables them to employ regular serving subs for their MB and libero. Toward the tail end of some sets, Fisher will sub in DS Logan Mosley in the back row for either of his OH, presumably for ball control. As of November 20, she was passing a 2.28 with 62.6 GP% (per the Top 25 Teams Passing Part 2 thread).

It’s a great sub to have for either of them to improve ball control
