Crazy that she got 4 sets in game 4. And she puts down 3 of them...only person who showed up for Wisconsin tonight. TTA did her job. And Skinner was better than Franklin, but from just an attacking standpoint it wasn’t a monumental difference.

Coaching Malpractice by Sheffield keeping only two passers out there for that long in the rotation where Franklin serves. Too much court for really good servers. Pulling TTA back into SR would have helped. Congrats to Texas, just served Wisconsin off the court. TTA passing helping… haha.

I thought she was gassed by the third set. There was that long rally where she took 3 or 4 heavy swings in a row and she was breathing hard after that. I think physically she never really recovered. I thought so too. Teams have been trying to get Frank on E all year but it hasn’t happened, until it did. She looked really tired against Penn State too iirc in the match we lost at their place.

Fun Fact:
Texas' FIRST ROUND OPPONENT scored more points than Wisconsin did.
Ouch.

Texas deserved to win but Izzy/Hammill so definitely not it. Wisconsin serve generally did not challenge Texas either. Wisconsin passing was all out of sorts too. Wisconsin was significantly outplayed and out coached. The Longhorns should have been favored which I clearly stated prior to game. Even in Set 2 , Texas errors allowed Wisconsin to steal a set and at no point did it feel like Wisconsin was the better team. Ok, outcoached? I think Kelly should have given Sarah a rest on the third set once we knew we would lose it. Other than that… this was all about the players’ performances. Yep, outcoached, not because Elliot was amazing. You can get away with two passer vs Iowa and Michigan State, it’s rough vs teams that’ll actually rip some decent serves

I am going to say Wisconsin in a sweep. This may be a bold prediction but I think they are playing the most complete volleyball and have looked like the best volleyball team in the post season and for the majority of the regular season they have all the pieces. This isn’t to discount Texas or the power of Madisen Skinner but I believe they will need more than a massive performance by her to win this and I’m not sure that can be done. Player for player, I think Wisconsin is better. Both of these teams hover around average for serving, in terms of aces and forcing bad passes. Texas has to really force that, they’re going to need aces and free balls if they want to win. If there’s 2 passers back there, just start ripping balls in the seams, if you miss, you were probably going to lose the point anyways. I’m never wrong!

Passing 3 with TTA would not have been an improvement. Do you know who is the only team that beat Nebraska to this point this year? Do you know if they passed with two passers?

Wisconsin did not seem to make any adjustments - a lot of that sharp cross court shot that Texas was ready for, though still scored some on. Surprised Wenaas wasn’t bombarded by serves any time she was on court. Barnes was also served quite a bit and she seemed really solid. Not an effective serving strategy for Wisconsin. Texas served lights out. Halter was mvp for me - best I’ve ever seen her play. Swindle overall I thought made good decisions to spread out offense. Also I thought the big 10 was supposed to mentally prepare a team for tourney play - it seemed they completely fell apart.

wait what is USA's MB depth chart currently? My head is still spinning from the NORCECA Finals mess and I didn't watch USA's IOQT matches as closely. Dana and Chiaka are starters. Washington is around. Sometimes. Then Asjia, Brionne, Stevenson. I think.
