There were 4 total kills from the right-side in this match from Beason/Phillips They both hit negative, combining for (4-6-28). Has their been even a performance like that in a national championship match, ever? I don't see how it could be worse. wasn't bergsma pretty terrible in 2012? She was the POY too lmaooo

How about 2-8-26 (-.231), Texas's Paulina Prieto Cerame in 2016 final against Stanford. I'm pretty sure Cerame was playing outside, but either way, I'm sure there's a long list of players who hit negative in a NCAA title match, it happens. But true that line from Prieto is probably one of the toughest in general. I was thinking more of like how two teams both combined for rough performances at the same position. I know the OH battle wasn't very good in Wisconsin/Nebraska title match recently, but it wasn't quite like this.

You're probably right. But I'll think on it.

Murray unfollowing all the Texas girls ☠️ Not towards her convenience to be on bad terms with Asjia and Skinner. They are the future of USA volleyball

Fields? Is there a rule against naming names here? No rule. What will happen is that several people will come on and make innuendos about former Texas players bashing the Texas culture - specifically Elliott. Skylar Fields has thrown some shade at Elliott/Texas since transferring to USC. I haven't seen anything lately, but it will never surprise me to see something come up. She takes a great deal of pride in speaking her mind. As a Texas fan I don't really mind the innuendo. I don't mind former players throwing shade. I wish they wouldn't, but it's their life and their choice. If they feel like they had a bad experience and they want to hint about it, I feel like that's their prerogative. But the truth is there are tons of players/alums who have nothing but great things to say about Elliott and the culture he's built. People on staff rarely ever leave. Salima Rockwell left for her alma mater to coach under legendary Russ Rose, and Tonya Johnson left to be the head coach at Georgia Tech, came back, then left to be the head coach at her alma mater at LSU. It's just tough to hear anything that really bothers me about how Elliott runs the program one way or another. The players who love it stick around. The players who need a different opportunity for whatever reason leave. If they leave with some bitterness they have a right to their feelings, and how they choose to express it. But I'll say this. I've never seen Elliott make any kind of negative comments about anyone who has transferred out of his program. I'm very appreciative of that. At first I wasn't sure who this poster was but it only took me like four words in to be like "Yep, got it."

Texas fans should thank Eggleston for this moment. The Texas team culture was not where it needed to be in 2021, and she single-handedly took it on her shoulders to bring in Skinner and to tell her that the two of them were going to change the team culture. I don't know that with Texas' former culture, this team finds it within themselves at 5-3 to look each other in the eyes and to work to get better each and every day. That type of mentality, you lose in four at best against Tennessee in the S16. Culture matters. The culture started to change for the better as soon as an "I" player announced her intentions to transfer. The players who remained and the incoming players worked together to make sure everyone understood there was no "I" in T-E-A-M. Some folks prefer to talk sh*t, I'd rather just focus on the future of the program. Seriously, what benefit does this provide to anyone? Also, there may not be an "I" in team, but there sure is a "ME".

Murray unfollowing all the Texas girls ☠️ Not towards her convenience to be on bad terms with Asjia and Skinner. They are the future of USA volleyball You make it sound like they’re getting a divorce and she’s putting out a restraining order. She’s upset. She’s choosing to express it in a public manner for whatever reason. But the truth is it’s technically pretty easy to just follow people again. She’ll be the first 18 year old I’ve ever known to act dramatically with a limited perspective on life. I may or may not have acted that way when I was her age.

Elliott is happy to see them leave is not that saying something? reread the statement please. It was that he’s never publicly made any negative comments about departing players. I think that says the opposite of what you’re implying.
