Rewatched that post game interview with Nebraska - a couple of days distance and it really was ….A disaster.
Set aside JCs flat out mistakes about who was an upperclassman for Texas: Harper and Belkka were incredibly without grace or tact. That’s not “youthfulness” or disappointment it was spoiled entitlement - that’s why they couldn’t speak. And when they did it was F bombs and immature mania about what will happen in 2026.
I feel bad for the coach - they demonstrated a disrespect and immaturity that reflects on their parents. They acted like Violet Beauregarde and Veruka Salt.
I don’t think Nebraska will see a championship anytime soon.

I was bored waiting for some pool work to be completed today and found some useless facts.
All 4 championship matches that Texas has won, has been a 3-0 victory.
This is the 4th time that Nebraska has lost in the championship match by a 3-0 score. Stanford and Hawaii have both lost 2 championship matches by a 3-0 score. Those are the only other teams to lose multiple championship matches in a sweep.

Did Nebraska bring a band? Watching the replay you can clearly hear the Longhorn band playing our fight songs, but I didn't hear anything from the other side. Or maybe I don't recognize what they play.

Okay, I read 228 pages, and am not reading the bickering about the post game press remarks.
Major props to the Texas team, y'all played one heck of a match and deserved the win!

in good news, according to ilikecorn 's most recent update, we've broken the record for the longest match thread by 37 pages and counting! and it was a three set blowout, look at us! in partial seriousness though, i know nebraska and texas are chatty and there's been a lot of drama since, but the record book keeps getting new entries and i have to think it's with all the new fans + fans that have gone from casual to stans, which means the sport really is growing! let's keep it up! |

not to beat a dead horse cause im sure its been discussed, but why do I keep hearing Nebraska talking about the cold court making the serves super tough? texas passed very well on the exact same court lol... wouldn't Nebraska's serves have this same effect they're talking about?

I remember thinking during the Wisconsin-Texas match that "it must be pretty warm/humid in there, everybody looks like they're sweating pretty hard." (And to be clear, that was before the Texas serve had the Badgers sweating! :-) |
