I called the UW ticket office just now about Fizerv, etc. At first the girl said they had no info and had nothing to do with tickets. When I told her about the Facebook post and "UW presale", she put me on hold, came back a couple minutes later, and said there would be an email "next week" with more info, and links to TicketMaster or Fiserv, or When I said the presale was supposed to be Tuesday AM, she then said the email would be Monday. All very vague and uncertain. This does not sound promising.

A Sunday and a Monday??? Who got high and thought that was a good idea? The new media rights deals go into effect this year and you don't want 20,000 badger fans in Fiserv when they might otherwise be home watching the Badgers vs Western Michigan (and can you sell out Fiserv if Camp Randall is full?). Texas also plays Colorado State Saturday in football. And it's Labor Day weekend so the NFL won't have opened yet and there is one CFB game Sunday night - there is lots of need for TV content on Sunday and Monday and my guess is these four teams are going to give it to them. I can imagine that there will be a certain amount of fans for each team who are able to attend. It will probably be whoever can get the tickets quickly regardless of what team they support. So the more Badgers fans gets tickets early then we'll see that most of the fans there will be Badgers supporters thus making feel like a home game for the Badgers.

Was just curious, that article from Madison.com says something about the Big Ten conference schedule being released in June but I thought it was already released? Edit: I suppose dates & times of those matches Dates and times are in June. My wife and I are going to go to California for the USC/UCLA series but our travel plans are on hold until we know when it will actually land.

Was told by ticket office today that the email regarding FiServe will come Tuesday morning with a link to order tickets from TicketMaster. Was also told season ticket application renewals will be sent in May. Just sharing…

There is already a link on TicketMaster's web site, the question is how are they going to 'authorize' UW people to get in while keeping others out, etc.

I will confess I'm grumpy about the MKE location for this "showcase" event. Not only does it mean having to spend extra money on tickets for non-conference matches that previously would have been included in the season tix (which are of course already much more expensive compared to pre-Natty season tix [the price of success]), but also it means travel, maybe a hotel, and other expenses for Madison-based fans when there is a similar sized venue right here at the Kohl Center. Yeah, I get it, the Fiserv location has certain advantages, including surrounding facilities and a potentially expanded fanbase in the MKE area market, but I feel like longstanding fans kind of get the shaft. Having said all that, I'm happy to hear counterarguments and be persuaded I'm wrong. Let's get this party started and have the debate before this thread is (rightfully) overtaken by Friday's Spring match!

Well on Seatgeek right now, lower bowl Sunday tickets are going for 300-650, and lower bowl Monday tix for 200-600, so I guess I feel lucky I get the chance to buy some at face value, whatever that might be.

Yes, lucky... lucky that I maybe I can buy 4 tix for face value and then re-sell 2 on CheatGeek for a profit to pay for my 2 regular season tix, LOL. #roughjustice

Right. But for the "UW Madison" part to have any meaning, there has to be a mechanism to allow UW season ticket holders to use that link while keeping other people from using it. And so far, nobody has told this UW season ticket holder what the mechanism is. As far as I know. 10 AM tomorrow is open sale for anyone and everyone.

Nice media conference with Sheffield. Talks about alumni badgers & who is trying to compete in the Olympics, also talks about Trinity Shadd-Ceres who might participate for team Canada’s Track & Field team in long jump. Goes into a little more about the matches yet to be announced, sounds exciting.

Still no email. Still in the dark. Yet there's a hockey game that isn't until end of December and tix have been on sale for a while.

Per the UW ticket office thirty seconds ago "the volleyball manager isn't in right now, and we can't get in touch. Maybe try back at 10 AM. The emails should have gone out by now."

If anyone receives a code they aren't going to use, please pass along. We're traveling in from Austin for this...to root for WI of course.
