More importantly, I want a transfer. I don't know what to make of it. Sheff flat-out said there's a scholarship and they want 1 or 2 portal "attackers" [his word]. They've had a long time to look things over. Maybe they can't find a fit. I don't think there's anyone left out there that would be a fit, is there?

Not surprised by Ostovar or DiVita signings. Flanagan is the "big get" I am most hopeful for.
Haley Burgdorf seems like the most likely. If there is one pipeline the Badgers have, it is with the Illinois clubs (SP and 1A). Burgdorf (a Top 40 PrepDig) seems like the right fit and nearly all of the SP/1A club players who have played for the Badgers ended up being major contributors/All conference. She seemed to be very grateful of her recent Badger camp visit (based on her recent tweet).

Re tempo of bingos... Tarnow is a big get, but she has probably been personally linked to the program for so long, she really felt it was a home of sorts. She's been coming to camps since Sheff first arrived, and Benet has past connections to UW. Kymora probably didn't have an offer from as highly rated a program. So she made the decision early. As for last year, Quest was a home state badger girl, Horner was another of these long term links from Chicago land where UW has a large presence, and Wardlow was a product of the glut of MBs at Nebraska (and maybe Texas), and perhaps the lack of clarity in a lot of other programs in the B1G. Right now we're dealing with OHs who have no real personal ties. I expect that from now on we'll have to wait as players assess their options a little more thoroughly. And frankly, that's better for everyone, even if I do want to hear sooner. Davita is a great example of "connections". According to The Husker recruiting thread, "Divita is a great get as a top 10 overall type player and because of her connections with Harper, Campbell, and a bunch of the incoming recruits for 2025." Her commitment makes perfect sense in this context [and it's Nebraska].
Flanagan and Charlie have a connection as former teammates, but there is the "California girl" issue and who knows what else.
Sheff will have a good class at the end of the process. Some of them will no doubt surprise us in a good way as their college career plays out.
GO BADGERS.

Any highlight videos for Lynney or Kymora? Kimora is a very good player. That Prep Dig, did not have her ranked tells you all you need to know about these 💩stain rankings. It’s bizarre to see these clowns on podcasts and radio interviews bing so authoritive on who the best players are… these are kids who in most cases have only played one year of high school and in the 16s in club, are still developing in every way, and unless they play on a successful club team they get lost on the sea of courts at these tournaments. The rankings are amusing… who are the best 26’ players today? You would be more on the right track by looking at how Nebraska, Texas, Wisconsin and Louisville are recruiting… than listening to a money hole like Prep Dig.

PrepDig serves as a convenient access point to an impossibly crowded field, but agreed it's a highly dubious measure of future success. PD relies on scouts per each state to do the evaluations. No wonder Kymora wasn't ranked at all - PrepDig doesn't have her club ( Xtreme Performance) listed in their database. prepdig.com/illinois/club-programs/At least one of their scouts owned up to it and confessed they missed on her. x.com/prepdigchris/status/1802140510405976511I trust Sheffield and Co.'s ability to assess high character and who can ball. There are plenty of diamonds like Kymora out there and I'm sure these rankings go out the window when coaches of elite programs do their evaluations.

VB adrenaline “teased” late last night about the “steal” of the class announcing soon. Could be who WI got. No clue who it is though.

Tied for top scorer at the 2023 FIVB U21 World Championship. This is a fascinating get.

Curious why sign her if she has an ACL injury & can’t play this season anyways. Redshirt this year & play other years
