I'm pretty sure all 3 are enrolling early.
My bold take is I think Watson is gonna be an underrated gem of this class. Not saying she'll start from day 1, but I watched a few of her games this past spring and she's more skilled than I realized. Guessing(?) she ends up on the right side, but can play either pin, good size, and she can thump it.
I'm curious about our numbers though. We lose 5 seniors after this year, and only bring in 3 freshmen. I wonder if we try to grab another middle and DS.

Announcement on three new players confirms they are all enrolling early.
Currently 15 on roster - if Lamb does not medically redshirt, he loses 6 to graduation (Grome, Beavin, Wilson, Hogan, Lamb, Jenkins). If no transfers out that is 12 players with the freshman.
All of the remaining players have at least 2 years eligibility left. How do you keep everyone happy and/or convince a transfer to come in since everyone is compressed?
OH - DeLeye (2), Melby (2), Thigpen (3), Benjamin (4)
Middle - Bultema (3), Dailey (3), Washington (3)
RS - Watson (4)
S- Sarafa (3), O'Brien (4)
DS/L - Tuozzo (2), Ward(4)

I dont think Lamb will come back, She is coaching club volleyball in the Spring with a travel team which they dont normally do if they are coming back. (Time commitment) My DD played against Ward this fall, she played 6 rotations for her high school but plays Libero for club. Without lamb they need 3 more on the roster another middle and another DS and perhaps another RS

Agree 100 percent. If O'Brien enrolls early which I think she is doing that, those two might battle it out during Spring practice. I can't imagine Sarafa is going to stick around if O'Brien beats her out for the starting spot. I also don't think Skinner will ever play a 6-2. |

What if... Deleye trained on the RS and Benjamin and Thigpen were the OHs next year? There is zero percent chance Deleye is going to RS. She is the Alpha on this team and Skinner would never do that because he knows Deleye would be in the portal and rightfully so |

I will say.. regarding this current UK team.. this is the floor defense I have seen from a UK team that I can remember. A lot has to do with Tuzzo and Beavin but Thigpen, DeLeye and Grome are all super athletic and quick which we haven't always seen from the UK backrow.
They also have an Alpha (DeLeye) that we haven't really had since Edmond graduated. They may not be as deep offensively compared to years past but I do think they have the best overall hitter they have had in recent time.
Hope they can finish out these last 5 games strong and bring home another SEC title. Hope we can also break past the Sweet 16 barrier. Seems like UK has struggled against bigger teams in their losses. Have a big tendency to get blocked and then be less aggressive in the front.

Cats fight back in set 2 from 18-12 due to great serving run by Beavin. Her serve has been on fire lately. I think this is the third game in a row teams have used both timeouts to try and stop her serve.
