I think UK is better with Thigpen at OH2. I just don't think Lamb adds much to their offense.

I think UK is better with Thigpen at OH2. I just don't think Lamb adds much to their offense. Lamb is great with out of system swings. Wilson has been playing great the last few games, which is a bright spot for spreading out offense so Lamb can get some better looks. Would be nice to have Thigpen back, but Wilson was playing decently in right back, and Beavin was a monster in middle back (led team in digs despite playing 3 rotations). Am worried about depth though, but I think team is really peaking at a good time. |

Really glad to see how so much of the team has grown during SEC play and bringing the conference win home! That being said, I really hope that Skinner is thinking hard about the line-up heading into the tournament. Both liberos in tonight's match were clearly not at their best, but in UK's case, there were other players that could--and should--have been in the shirt. Are you saying Beavin should be in the jersey? |

It's been brought up in this thread multiple times, I've heard it mentioned in person at games, seen a handful of comments on Twitter/X as well. Definitely not the first person to mention it, and from what we've seen out of Tuozzo--especially the last few games--she's not playing up to the standard of the jersey. I was willing to give her a shot at the beginning of the season thinking that she likely earned it, and I think she grew a lot in the role at the beginning of SEC play. But lately I haven't seen the hype and she's leaving a lot of holes in the defense that other players (namely Grome and Deleye) have to fill. She's been getting bailed out by their high level of play and I think if they weren't on the court with her, it would be a lot more apparent. |

She didn't have the best match last night, but she didn't get aced 3 times and have a few over passes as well. There was definitely a blocking strategy to try and take angle away from Missouri's left sides and force them down the line where they have been less successful. When a middle is late it leaves some pretty big holes and a lot of space to cover. There were definitely times where Tuzzo could have read better but I actually prefer having her in the jersey. Her passing is more solid, to the eye test and she makes athletic plays Beavin couldn't. Just my opinion. |
