Supposedly Nebraska is trying to have their conference schedule tweaked. They were given a lot of back to back matches or close to back to back matches, the most of any team in conference apparently and it seems there are some teams that don't have any back to back matches in conference. They've taken it up with the B1G and might have some Friday-Saturdays switched to Friday-Sundays

Maybe change a couple of those?

Um Landfair in a boot from Lexi’s tiktok I’m not sure what the injury is but she’s been wearing the boot off and on for a couple years now, I wouldn’t be too concerned about it if es always in the boot it's in the boot - Rosalía. www.instagram.com/reel/CdGb_FQj0z2/?igsh=d2Q0dXQyMjJibXd4

Who y’all got for prevailing for the start early for this season: MB: Jackson/Allick/Blackwell? (2) DS: Choboy/Mauch? (1) OH: Krause/Landfair/Pierce/Murray? (2)

(2) I think starting OH will be Murray and Landfair. Murray will play 6 rotations. Landfair will play 3. Also, one of those 4 OHs will have to be the backup opposite in case Beason gets injured. Krause could do it if required since she played there in 2022, but I think Pierce may end up as an opposite. I think starting DS will be Choboy. I think one MB will be Jackson. I don't know who the other will be. I have never seen Blackwell play so I don't know what kind of a player she is, or if she is good enough to beat out Allick. We are going to have a really friggin' good team this year.

I think the Nebraska natives Krause and Allick will start, but Blackwell and Landfair will see much more court time than Maggie and Ally (pre-LK injury) did last year. August practice will be key, and it’s not August yet.

Seems Allick, Krause and Landfair have a history of injury which makes me think they may benefit from rotation. Should be a fun 24 season to see how the competition shakes out.

no offense to her, but I'm really glad Batenhorst is at USC now. We really were sorta dragging her every match haha.

If Krause can stay healthy, there is no keeping her off the court. 6 rotation competition spot will be key. Doesn’t Murray needs more consistency to play 6 rotation? Landfair may be thinking Olympics eventually, but she is not yet a “take over the match” level player. Just my early take on the question and comments

Just my early take on the question and comments Murray played 6 rotations as a freshman and did really damn good most of the time and no way she isn’t playing 6 rotations. Landfair took over a lot of matches as Minnesota. She has taken over a lot more matches in her career than Krause has.

Just my early take on the question and comments Harper is on the short list for best all-around 6 rotation Oh in college volleyball. Her back row defense alone is elite and like a DS. Also, her serve reception is very good as is her back row attack. She will only get better in all phases, and she may have a little extra motivation this year. Also, she is a major closer when the sets get close to 20. I am really looking forward to seeing 2024 Harper.

Murray is a much better passer than Krause and is much better at back row defense. Murray will play 6 rotations. The question will be who will be the other OH? I think it will be Landfair, but Krause was playing maybe the best volleyball of her life in the matches right before her injury last year. If Krause can get back to that level of play maybe she can beat out Landfair, but that is an open question at this point. Since I am a Nebraska native I will root for Krause, but I suspect ultimately Landfair will win that battle.
