Can someone tell me why Illinois doesn’t get AVCA committee votes? Like ever? I am perplexed and just want to understand. No smart ass comments please They did get some earlier this year, and then they had some bad losses.

Post Hambly recruits, Tamas Fighting Illini are consistent each season as Illini might defeat one BIG dog and lose to only 1-2 BIG puppies; finish in middle of BIG with above .500 season record. Post Hambly, the Fighting Illini pre-conference schedule does not play AVCA top 25 opponents, drawing little attention to the Fighting Illini. The Tamas Fighting Illini are a top 35-50 team.

I just have to vent: not a single post on B1G social media sites about the MN/Illinois match last night. The disrespect is unreal. We saw more of Iowa and Rutgers than Raina Terry on her senior night (who had an incredible match BTW).

For the B1G experts, does future scheduling keep the same 3 opponents for playing twice or will it vary?

So, I'd expect Illinois vs. Northwestern to play twice. I vaguely remember something about the other 2 twice opponents would be 'regional' implying not the longest travel.

They said rivalry, region, and balance, and balance for the non west coast teams seemed to be one top team, one middle team, and one bottom team. (Unfortunately for Wisconsin, the rivalry and regional criteria made Minnesota their “middle team”. )

Big Ten 2024 Player of the Year predictions? If they're giving it to the (most likely) B1G Champions, I'm going with Bergen Reilly. I'd personally give it to Rodriguez if they're giving it to a Nebraska player but I don't think they respect liberos enough to do that. If it's a pin, right now it's between Hudson, Mruzik, and Franklin.

Honorable Mentions to Londot and Terry who did a hell of a lot to put up B1G time numbers even when their teams didn't win.

Both of them have stellar senior seasons ahead, I think, and I’m already excited to watch them shine when the super seniors are gone.
