Yes. It all sucks. I really liked the composition of the PAC12. I don’t think the ACC will feel natural for some time. I personally prefer Stanford in the BIG over the ACC. For volleyball PSU and Stanford have always had a close and respected connection for awhile and I’d love to see Stanford and PSU become an every year thing like they use to do with the OOC tourneys.

The number of ooc games will be unchanged. So if they want to still schedule each other, they can.

I'm just now getting over the dissolution of the Pacific Coast Conference in 1959.

If PSU can’t win the conference I’d prefer it be Stanford. I can’t stand Nebraska. Wisky I can take or leave ‘em. It’s like if you have your brother playing against your best friend. You prob pull for your brother but unless they are playing eachother you pull for both. That’s how I feel when it comes to psu and Stanford Hey i had a amazing time when It was Stanford and psu every year. Let’s just go back to that😂😂

A plus for this new Big 10 is the many very good PAC 12 VT posters who will now be commenting on the conference games.

I’m excited for the new B1G in football but maybe not for a lot of others sports. Although it will be cool to play the west coast teams in Vb I’ll miss playing most of the other teams twice a year. Maybe the follow a model where you play the teams geographically closest to you twice a year along with your biggest rival. Adding a B1G tournament at the end of the year might make that work but I don’t see how adding a B1G tournament is in the conferences best interest with regards to seeding for the top conference teams in the ncaa tournament.

Then again rose and dunning were always close buddies. They did camps together

I am not a fan of it at all. I think Chip Kelly is right. Have football do football and go back to rationality for the other sports.

Tragedy is probably not the right word. But it's close. The unceremonious man-made implosion of the PAC is a stain on college sports and should be a lesson on how greed and money can destroy almost anything. It was all done simply because of television ratings and revenue for football. There is not one other single reason why anyone - player, fan, coach, reporter, administrator, college president - could have wanted this disruptive change. It's more than a little disappointing to realize that twelve college presidents - leaders of institutions of higher learning - couldn't figure out a way to prevent this. All those TV promos and in-stadium/in-arena promos for the Conference of Champions really ring hollow now; like so much used bathroom tissue being flushed down the toilet bowl. It was all a phony charade. And the charade is not exclusive to the PAC. All of these conferences are just a marketing sham designed to build a brand which is just a way to generate more revenue for the football powers. For example, WSU's volleyball team is left in shambles with no coaches and no players. Too bad, WSU VB. You're just collateral damage. Climate change? Meh. Let's get on more private jets and charter more and longer flights. America's colleges don't have time to be setting any examples for students, fans, and the cities and states they represent. They have to keep the money wheels spinning so that in virtually every state in America the highest paid state employee is a college football coach. Merry Christmas PAC fans. Larry Scott and George Kliavkoff (and all the college presidents who condoned their blunders) have left you a lump of coal in your stocking. I never thought of the climate change angle. That is huge considering that these are basically liberal institutions and should be considered leaders in the world of climate change, setting the highest of standards for like you said, their communities and states. It is tragic. Was the first thing I thought of. A lot of these schools have net zero pledges or are in states with net zero pledges. I don't like it for any other reason either.

I agree with this as well though I am looking forward to seeing UCLA & Washington softball in Iowa City at some point. It will probably be intense, with the top pitchers going. I do not love the sport, because the top pitchers are so dominant and so few can hit them (I have sat behind home and understand why). I once was at a Minnesota at Wisconsin game and thought it was over with the Badgers leading 2-0 in the middle of the 4th! It was.
