Listening to Volleyball Mag's interview with Paul, Kevin and Salima has me thinking that both Poulter and Plummer (if healthy) will be starting in Paris.
It sounds like Karch chose Carlini as the back up setter from the get go this summer.
I'm predicting this starting line up:
S: Poulter OH: Cook, Plummer MB: Ogbogu, Rettke OPP: Thompson L: JWO
Carlini/Drews ---> Double sub Larson ----> Back row sub for Plummer/Serving Sup for Chi. Haleigh -----> in for either starter as a spark off the bench. Skinner -----> Plummer's back up/Serving Sub for Chi.
This is all moot if everyone isn't healthy which I am hopeful they will be.

Hmm I have some THOUGHTS on that discussion, but I respect this is what you took from it 😁 what are your thoughts I'm not legally allowed to say as I want at this current juncture. (But also did these "experts" watch like any international volleyball this year?!)

I'm not legally allowed to say as I want at this current juncture. (But also did these "experts" watch like any international volleyball this year?!) Their confidence in both of our Opposites I found striking. Neither one has played lights out since Tokyo. Though they did mention that the connections with most of the setters needed some fine tuning. Their issue with the USA's lack of scoring on the left pin was concerning. They all think Plummer is a MUST for a medal chance.
