She's clearly trying to force the tempo, and the result is better than the delivery, but she's doing a half pirouette or something to achieve it. It's weird. I actually have more issue with location behind her. it’s like a majority of the time not far out enough to the pin, feels like her middles dont get as much range. I think youre 100% right about the product/result is better than the delivery. because if there were stronger blockers those sets would get eaten up. Her setting is getting by on speed. It's also a highlight reel, so we're not seeing the bad sets. And it's unlikely her form is different on the bad plays.

Jenna Gray’s form is horrible. According to American style setting school, setters like Tomkom and Maja wouldn't play in D1.

incoming comments from reach and avid about maja not being good enough to play d1 i beat you to it lol its okay. Serbia has everything going for it so far this club season. If they stay injury free I dont think maja will be waiting too much longer for the only thing missing from her NT career and completing her olympic medal set

Jenna Gray’s form is horrible. According to American style setting school, setters like Tomkom and Maja wouldn't play in D1. It's not an issue of Gray adopting a "foreign" setting style. You can see the video just like I can--tell us what "foreign style" that is. If she's being asked to not set to the pins, then she's just figured out a way to make it work. That may be a testament to her athletic ability, but I question the value.
