(this is short bc this is just her receptions from yesterday's game) but does Fleck's platform look weird? or do i just not watch her enough lol She doesn't have the upper body strength to create the angles. Her other option would be to contact lower and use her legs, but she's trying to intercept early/high. If those are her passing numbers, she's making it work but doesn't look good or sustainable. I highly doubt she doesn’t have the upper body strength lol. She’s like ripped |

I think it's more of her trying to cut the balls off early and taking them way too high with her feet like parallel to where she's making contact with the ball lol, she just needs to move back imo. what she's doing doesnt look very repeatable lol |

Anyways I have always noticed her technique being different than others for the past two years. From how i have interpreted it is she emphasizes the distance between her body and her platform more than most liberos. Her platform is more rigid, and very out there (idk how to describe it better). I think the rigidness is partially due to her being so concentrated on spacing and angles, she doesn't have the same fluidity and flow and lax attitude with her passing. She doesn't "fight off" passes (as shoji would say) as much as other liberos, so relies a lot of her angles to do all the work (she is quite opposite of kelsey, who is great at adjusting on SR) I personally use her technique to remind myself to be more proactive in passing, and if I feel my weight distribution is off when on SR. |
