Puerto Rico won set 1 25-20 over Mexico. Diana Reyes 7, Lopez 3 Guereca 5, Castro 3 is Sofia just sucking wth I think they are playing a 6-2 so Sofia is alternating with a lefty oppo. Dont cite me on this tho, this is just based on the statistics sheet as I didnt pay to watch the game. |

In a perfect world, with the dissolving of the Challenger Cup, FIVB would bring back World Group II/III.
There's not enough potential for movement with these teams being limited to their own confederations.

this is also Puerto Rico's first ever outright gold medal in an intl competition.
They've only ever won the qualification final four tournament before.

Exactly! is this the first year that Norcecas' tournaments do not count towards the ranking? they do count towards rankings. but only in matches that dont involve VNL teams. I just mean there isnt much opportunity for movement. I think PR gained a whole 4-5 points this week. |
