Just Marquette and Creighton going to the tourney this year? That's how it looks now. Marquette might be questionable to make it this year, but I could be wrong. Huh?

Player of the Year: Norah Sis Setter of the Year: Kendra Wait Libero of the Year: Rachel Krasowski (if they go by impressive stats) Freshman of the Year: Margo Kemp Coaching Staff of the Year: UConn
I think that they can't avoid having both Sis and Wait on this list.

Please don't give the coaching award to the staff of a team that merely exceeded low expectations. Creighton's staff took on a very difficult noncon schedule and blasted its way through the Big East. For a Big East team to be in position to host a regional is a monumental achievement.

For a Big East team to be in position to host a regional is a monumental achievement. Agreed. The UConn coaches should not be rewarded for scheduling abysmally in the non-con. Glad they won all those matches, but still, they should be downgraded for it. They don't have to schedule like Marquette or Creighton, but take on a Yale or Virginia (or the like) if you want to stay close to home and be challenged a bit.

The award doesnt have anything to do with the non-con though.
Uconn was picked third to last in the conference and now they're going to be in the BET

Player of the Year: Pressly (Should get it as she means the most for her team) Setter of the Year: Wait (Not even CLOSE) Libero of the Year: Krasowski (Again, see above, but also a statistical monster) Freshman of the Year: Mitchell (does her teams finish prevent this from happening?) Coaching Staff of the Year: UConn (Their path/schedule provided them this opportunity and they took full advantage of it)

Marquette scores five straight to win set 2 26-24 and go up 2-0. And then has an easier time, 25-18, in set 3.
