Looking at the rest of BYU's schedule, there is a good possibility they could go undefeated the rest of the way. Suppose they lose at their conference tourney-will it be another Eastern Washington (undefeated, lost to Sac State in conf. finals and didn't get an at large big to NCAA's). Their pre-conference schedule looked pretty good on paper, but Ohio State, Kansas aren't as good as everyone thought. The Mountain West is down this year, I can see it happening. I think the Mountain West has had at least two teams invited in the past, but they usually always had two teams in the top 20-not this year.
Does the committee look at how they won? Will going 5 with New Mexico and Air Force hurt them?
New Mexico's last six matches have gone 5 games. Is that some sort of record? They are 3-3 in those matches.
How is Colorado State looking? Their loss to Denver was a complete shocker. I guess we'll see how CSU and BYU stack up against each other this weekend.
BTW-Amy looked good setting Friday night. She was getting the ball to the middles. BYU will be very good in 2006. Kim Wilson will be back. All they lose is Lexi and Lauren. Amy will step right in for Lauren, and IMO, anyone could step in for Lexi, anyone, anytime.

Yes, the NCAA committee does look at records so the 5-game match will be noticed but their RKPI is pretty high right now so even if they lose in the MWC tourney, they would still get in I believe.
IUPUI has 10 matches already this season going to 5 and has won half of them.

True the Mountain West is down this year, however I can't see them going undefeated. It's a hard task to do, and it is easy to have an off night. I bet they lose one match.....however if anyone can go undefeated it is them.

I believe there are five undefeated teams-Nebraska, Washington, Louisville, Missouri, and BYU. Louisville and BYU have the easiest schedule, with Louisville's only worry being Notre Dame. I think there could be 4 undefeated teams at the end of the regular season-Nebraska, Washington, Louisville and BYU. Has there ever been that many undefeated teams at the end of the season before?
Of course, Stanford, Notre Dame, and Colorado State will have something to say about all this. Unless Nebraska has lots of injuries or a major off night, they win their conference undefeated. Could be a dog fight for 2nd, though.
Of course, who'd have thought New Mexico State would almost beat Hawaii. There's a lot of games to be played-lots of upsets could happen.
Agree-BYU's best year will be 2006.

Like it or not BYU is for real. Current coach has done a great job turning the program around after a so-so past couple of seasons. Isn't amazing that all the Jason bashing is gone with the wind??? Winning does marvelous things. ESTRELLA

I'm just not a Jason Watson fan, doesn't matter how many games he wins.

Even with all of the great mormon talent that you continue to get year in and year out!

Brian G just seems like the biggest weasel. I have never liked him, but my opinion is solely based on watching him on the sidelines (whereas my opinions on Jason are much more personal). LBSU turned out some great teams, but I think they are on their way out.

Played in 21 of 23 NCAA tournaments, won at least 20 games 28 times out of 30 years. Those are the stats I know off the top of my head. I think lots of schools wish they could print the same history in their media guides. BTW-I'm not saying Long Beach doesn't also have a great history. I just can't stand their coach and think he has worn out his welcome.
