I am confident UCLA will kick USC's a$$ again this year 💪 UCLA is better this year, but so is SC. I favor SC in that matchup, but would love to see a good battle. |

Their freshmen are strong, Favor in the middle and Livings coming in at OPP at times has been very effective, plus the experience of Batenhorst. |

Did you not watch their games vs. Pepperdine this weekend? Their freshmen are strong, Favor in the middle and Livings coming in at OPP at times has been very effective, plus the experience of Batenhorst. that didn’t say much |

It looks like SC is better/healthier in the middle but not sure yet about their pins and I wasn’t very impressed by Trubint. We’ll see when faced with a tougher matchup |

anyone know why Humphrey and Mullen didn’t play? is Humphrey RSing? Also, I might have missed her, but I didn’t see Hendrickson on the bench no she isn’t RSing. Nagging injuries and they have to be cleared |

Awesome job, Bruins, for starting 2-0 in the season.
A couple of my unsolicited opinion. Please feel free to chime in!
Leverette and A. Dodson are the strongest players this year. Another middle needs to step up. Pak is great, but middle connection needs to be established better. Dueck has improved a lot, but UCLA’s passing and back row defense still need a lot of work. Horne did very well, and has to take the OH2 spot over Olson (if Victoria does not return). Ivkovic needs a little more confidence because when she’s on, she’s on! Ivkovic needs OPP start and Olson comes in for blocking sub or OPP2 when doing 6-2. Where was Mullen? How come freshman setter (Duffey) came in for 6-2 instead of Mullen? Freshman setter did not do badly, by the way!
I understand it’s very early in the season so players are still getting to know each other and freshmen have to shake off the nerves! But future is looking bright! Congrats on the top 25 ranking!
Weird observation: do the Bruins look short when watching them on TV? We have some very tall girls in the front row, but they seem shorter on TV.

Where was Mullen? How come freshman setter (Duffey) came in for 6-2 instead of Mullen? Freshman setter did not do badly, by the way! I didn't even see Mullen on the bench...don't think she made the trip. Hopefully nothing serious. I'm guessing she would have been put in had she been there. But Duffey did well. Had some nice sets to Cher. |

On the Tenn vs UCLA game thread someone mentioned nagging injury not yet cleared to play for Mullen, Hendrickson, and Humphreys. Agree on Pak - so good but the connection with the middles needs to improve for this team to be great. Looking forward to seeing more from the freshman in Tennessee. |
