After watching the First Point Challenge where three of the teams have Freshman Setters starting does anyone else remember this many in one season at the D1 level?
Ball State - Lucas Machado USC - Caleb Blanchette Penn State - Michael Schwob Hawaii - Tread Rosenthal Pepperdine - Tyler Steward and Ryan Graves Purdue Fort Wayne - Andrej Polomac Loyola-Chicago - Cole Schobel Missouri S&T - Grant Edmonds Concordia Irvine - Yotam Briger North Greenville - Logan Taylor Belmont Abbey - Joseph Morris Dominican (ECC) - Luke Coster Long Island University - Roei Horovitz Merrimack - Reece Lindstrom St. Thomas Aquinas (ECC) - Kyran Versteegen Central State - Ian Ford Princeton - Nolan Kelly

You can add the following to that list as well:
Grant Edmonds - Missouri S&T Yotam Briger - Concordia Irvine Logan Taylor - North Greenville Joseph Morris - Belmont Abbey Luke Coster - Dominican (ECC) Roei Horovitz - LIU Reece Lindstrom - Merrimack Kyran Versteegen - St. Thomas Aquinas (ECC) Ian Ford - Central State
Very impressive to see a lot of Freshman out there leading their teams.

I wonder if some of this is a result of the Covid Super Seniors finally aging out.

In addition to Nolan Kelly of Princeton against CSUN & BYU tonight.
Owen Douphner for CSUN is getting on the court as a blocking sub too.

Going to be tough competing against Rowan for most of their years.

definitely feel like this is more due to the massive amount of super seniors aging out, dont see anywhere near the previous freshmen year starter levels of play with these new setters.

Not sure about all the freshman but these 4 have gotten some pretty big accolades already....Tread Rosenthal (Noezybuckets Dawg of the Week, twice I think), Caleb Blanchette (Noezybuckets Dawg of the Week) Logan Taylor (Off the Block National Setter of the Week, Conference Carolinas Athlete of the Week, and Noezybuckets Christensen Award for top 5 set), and Joseph Morris (Freshman of the Month Conference Carolinas, although the Junior Setter (Jack Walsh) just got a weekly award so not sure if Morris is injured or coach is just trying something new?). Rosenthal and Taylor are also in Noezybuckets Top 10 for top blocking setters and both in top 10 for assists. Lot of season left but fun to watch these Freshmen run their offenses!

Noezybuckets seems to just cherry pick plays that their moms sent in like their recruiting videos.
