Good to see the reserves in there and resting Chaz and Spyros. We need them ready to roll come Wednesday against a tough Stanford squad. Go Bows!

Am I the only one that thinks, Sakanoko is better than Chaz? I love watching him play, but to the people in the know, is that an option that the coaching staff is looking at for Sakanoko as a possible left-side pin hitter? I've seen him hit mostly from the rightside.

There's a noticeable difference between Galloway's serve receive and Sakanoko's serve receive, and that's against mostly weak competition thus far. Passing matters.

With the move to him at OH on Friday, I assume that's where he'll be placed for the remainder of his career as we bring in Finn Kierney next year. I think it's way too premature to say he's better than Galloway. Galloway is a proven passer and defender against top competition. I've yet to see that from Sakanoko.

Sakanoko has tremendous upside however and I like how much of a force he could be if he works on his passing and consistency with his serve. If he can work on that....I wouldn't doubt he becomes a starting left side hitter next season.

Currently we lose all starting pin hitters so it'll be such a mystery as to who will start for Hawaii.

Saka will definitely be a LS hitter next season. With Finn coming in, he will probably get a long look to replace Todd. Finn and Tread played a lot together so there should not be much connection problems.
We could be very young next season with Saka, Finn and possibly Kai Rodriguez at the pins. That's plenty of potential there.

The discussion on here in regards to how the team played against probably one of lower level teams in all of D1/2 mens volleyball is ridiculous. I thought this was a joke when halfway through I realized people were actually serious. Sakanoko is NOT better than Galloway and should not be starting over Galloway! Furthermore, nothing to realistically discuss with regards to how good/bad the team is based on this weekend. Tusculum, bless their young program, but I hope they’ll at least be able to win 10 matches this year.

At times they were competitive, and they can hang on to that.

You’ve narrowed the list down to Tusculum, Emmanuel, Mount Olive, and Erskine. One of those four is going to give you an all expenses paid trip to Hawaii, and you’ll get to play Hawaii in their gym twice. It’s a huge recruiting tool. It may not mean anything to Hawaii, but it’s huge for the smaller D2 schools. It’s similar to the smaller schools that now have both indoor and beach teams.

My argument was based on Sakanoko and his “blown up” expectations based on his performance versus Tusculum; not at all on Tusculum on how strong of a team they were. But I digress since it has been a few weeks since this series, and my point has been proven based on the following road series, when Todd had to come in a bail him and Wade out of trouble. Sakanoko has since been relegated to serving duties.
