Does David have a kill...? According to the box score, he has one. Anyone else lose the feed?

omg pac-12 networks i thought we left that behind in 2023 🥲 Good news: It will be no more after this season! The question now is: How many points of set 3 are we going to miss before they come back?

Robinson starting to take over this game in the third set. Otherwise has been really quite boring. Watson #7 for Pepperdine is fun though.

I guess I should officially wrap up this thread by saying that UCLA won in 3. (25-20, 25-20, 25-18). Was a pretty sloppy and lowkey affair, neither side seemed terribly interested. My player of the match for UCLA would probably be Cooper Robinson, and for Pepperdine, definitely Ethan Watson. The teams meet again on Saturday @ Pepperdine and hopefully the game is more entertaining.

My player of the match for UCLA would probably be Cooper Robinson, and for Pepperdine, definitely Ethan Watson. The teams meet again on Saturday @ Pepperdine and hopefully the game is more entertaining. I get you ride hard for Cooper, but Knight had a better match statistically. Robinson: 10 kills (28.6%), 1 Ace, 3 Digs, 2 Blocks for 12.5 points Knight: 10 kills (40%), 2 Aces, 2 Digs, 6 Blocks for 15 points UCLA has a variety of weapons on the floor each with different strengths. All of them can come up with clutch plays in big moments. That is how they won the championship last year - clutch plays at the right time. Hawaii played really well - UCLA just played the big points so well. With Knight, Champ, and Coop in the line-up that is their best passing team. Getting the ball in system to Rowan with veteran players makes them really tough. McHenry received the ball in great position tonight and that is very hard to stop. Also, Pepp made too many errors in the middle of the sets to let UCLA get comfortable. On night one vs. Beach Siapanis played at such a high level off the net, with Briggs passing so much of the court, and a full crowd Beach earned the victory. So much more of the season to come with some great play already.

Yeah if you wanna say that Knight was better than Robinson last night that’s all good. UCLA got enough offense through in the end to win very smoothly.

Yeah if you wanna say that Knight was better than Robinson last night that’s all good. UCLA got enough offense through in the end to win very smoothly. Lol, what do you have against Knight... Many times the opinion is focused on comparing players against each other. I prefer talking about the entire team and how it all fits together. There are multiple lineups that can be used against another teams strengths and game plan. UCLA has the benefit of have several pieces to move around. This is good and bad. More options means more possible changes. Change is both good and bad. Robinson is an elite blocker with a very strong attack, and very consistent serve. Knight has a very strong all around game with multiple serves, strong OOS attack, high IQ, consistent passing, and mental toughness. Rama with a strong set hits over the block. His arm angle is unique. Champ crushes the ball, passes, serves very well, and his very consistent at a very high level. The list goes on. All good pieces to have and if used properly is why UCLA is tough in the long run.
