Stanford without Will Rottman is barely a top 10 team. Luke Turner is definitely a downgrade from Justin Lui from last year. Seems like the first time in a long time that Stanford does not have a truly stellar libero. Ryan Duross doing well for his first real start.
For UCI as good as Flexen can be offensively, Tangutur is such a good all-around outside. Seems like he's really helped to steady out UCI in SR and back-row play.

I agree that Tangutur is a good all-around outside that gives UCI some much needed respite when the passing goes awry. He also allows UCI to instantly switch from being offensive minded to more defensively balanced while beefing up their ball control. Every team needs an Akhil Tangutur. |

I don't love the two-handed shove. More players are doing it. It might be legal but it is not fun to watch.
