Stupid UNI! Now all the geeky fans at ISU will have something to gloat about. It was much better when UNI hammered them on a regular basis.
Is it just me, or was the ACC once actually a decent league? I thought Virginia might be okay this year, but they are struggling apparently, despite the win tonight. What is up with FSU? It is just getting ugly there. They didn't look good at all in the one game I saw them play against Florida, and it wasn't just the Gators.
I wonder what the score of a Nebraska-Norfolk State match would be.

Actually, I am a bit surprised that Washington didn't visit Norfolk after their trip to Fargo.

Not that anybody cares, but Valpo bounces back from losing to Notre Dame by capturing their 21st straight Mid-Con win at Oakland 22, 15, 29.

BYU swept Colorado State, 32-30, 32-30, 30-26. Closer than I expected. I think I even had CSU in the upset in this one. Pretty close, but not quite.

REALLY bad news is that I now have one less team for the top 30. Am I imagining this or is it true that about every time a team breaks into the AVCA's 25th position, it thereupon loses?

Dang, Wolfgang, I forgot to remind you that last night there were compelling local matches at two of your favorites within easy driving distance (SU v WSU and SCU v Gonzaga). I know you are planning to sneak in, er, attend the SU v UDub match tonight, so I won't try to steer you to SCU v Portland.

FAMU against gives us our "Thump of the Day" 30-8, 30-9, 30-9 Against Norfolk State would be interesting to find out if FAMU gave up any SOS real points or if the match would equate to a 15-0,15-0,15-0 thumping.

Dang, no pbp on the FAMU website. OTOH, 16 aces for FAMU. But Norfolk did outblock them 7.5 to 6.5

Bradley goes to Deadbird Arena tomorrow at 2 in the teams' first meeting of the season. It looks like the Braves are rolling after an 0-5 start, but going to five against Indiana State is not a good sign (the Sycamores are not very good at all, from what I saw of them a month ago). Everyone should support BU, because they are better than ISU. If you don't believe it, just ask Bradley fans. They will enlighten you as to the truth of the matter. I saw that BU beat UNI again in Peoria. That isn't too surprising; the Braves scored some wins over UNI there even when UNI was much stronger. My theory is that the UNI players have a phobia of suffering serious injury running/falling off the court at Robertson Field House (not unreasonable) and thus play poorly there.

Personally, I think they are more concerned that a plane will land while they are there and will taxi into their side of the court.
I leave for Terre Haute in about an hour to watch UNI/Ind St. A loss here would NOT be a good thing for UNI.

Anytime FSU loses is a great day in America! A great day! (...doing my Kevin Bacon imitation from "JFK") Anyone that can't stand the Seminoles is a friend of mine!

I'm never attracted to Gonzaga and Portland matches. I will be at Stanford tonight. Woo hoo!!
