The fact that supposed #1 GCU may come out of the Outrigger 0-3 by the end of this is a major downslide that the staff will need to help address asap. Tbh, I see no fight on that side mentally. Like they already given up. Lewis just playing great as well. Strong serving teams GCU simply can't handle. They will likely drop to 5th in the rankings. Their wins over BYU and Stanford will keep them there. And the inconsistencies of the next group (Ohio State, Penn State, BYU, Stanford) do not put any of those teams above them. I am hoping for a battle tonight with UH/UCI, but part of me really thinks that Kniff is going to Kniff something because it is a conference opponent in a non-conference match on the road. I actually think Henno and Shewie gonna ball out tonight and make it a very tough match. Deep down inside, I know Shewie may have extra motivation that he wanted to be Hawaii's main setter that just didn't transpire. But I also think Hawaii is up for the challenge. Especially going into next week on the road against LBSU. They need to be challenged this match imo. And I have a feeling UCI will provide that tonight.

set 2 Lewis 25 GCU 18. passing needs to be tighter. Setting needs to be more deceptive. The Flyers friends and family is a small squad but loud.

I think what Volleyfan was saying is that Kniffen might not take the match as seriously because it's a non-conference match and the Anteaters have to see Hawaii at least TWO more times in conference, so why not save the big strategy/players for the matches that will decide BW tourney positioning and what not. There's no doubt the UCI players will compete hard if the usual starters start, but Kniffen has been known to play a game of strategy... that he doesn't often win lol

Love Lucas on the court cause he just brings energy out there that was severely lacking earlier for GCU.

Hard to see GCU being much of a factor in playoffs if this weekend is any indication. Their passing and serving is subpar. If this is representative, I’m surprised they went so long being undeafeated. It just isn’t up to snuff.

It ate LBSU up last season TBF.

Give credit to GCU. After going down 2-0 it is going to 5th set. They fought back
