does WSU even have a conference yet? i'd say one returning starter, new head coach, and a new conference might take the cake.

WSU lost all of their starters except katy ryan, and have a new head coach so them lol. this is really the only answer. Even though ucla loves to live down to my lowest expectations.

Kipp and Baird long gone, coast to coast all year with Debeer and Babcock waiting, probably a "down" year for the card based on their standards. I truly don't remember where half of the other teams are going though. assuming you're just stating this and not saying stanford will have the WORST season out of all those teams lol. There's a more likely chance they have the best season out of everyone. Traveling is hard but the actual roster of players matters as well lol. Cal and Oregon state will not have a better '24

WSU lost all of their starters except katy ryan, and have a new head coach so them lol. Didn't they lose a lot more than just their starters? I don't know who has what eligibility left, but: 8 players were listed as 5th year, grad or RS-Sr. 5 players were listed as Sr or R-Jr. All 13 of those players either are done or potentially in good position to move. That leaves 1 junior (Ryan), and 2 freshamen (Barbero and Blazkova)

Speaking of WSU, the WSU Men's Basketball coach (who just took the Cougs into the 2nd round of the tournament) just quit to accept the head coaching gig at Stanford.
How long is it going to take the WSU athletic dept. to recover from the collapse of the PAC?

this is really the only answer. Even though ucla loves to live down to my lowest expectations. random but why did fleck leave UCLA? they didnt keep a scholarship for her covid year. she said initially that her first choice would've been to either stay at ucla or go pro. Then she found out ucla wasn't going to be an option so she went into the portal, while still considering just going straight to pro, but ended up committing to texas

does WSU even have a conference yet? i'd say one returning starter, new head coach, and a new conference might take the cake. WSU and OSU are competing in the WCC for the next two years. I don't think the WCC will be particularly strong, so maybe it will be a nice soft landing for them. (Last year was a comparably really poor showing for the WCC, so they are going to need to pick up some big talent to turn that around.)

WSU will struggle to compete in any conference as they currently look. OSU could do well. They would have been the 4th best WCC last year, and they can reasonably set that as an expectation (or maybe even higher - doesn't LMU lose its entire lineup?)
