Is Charlie Wade on the hotseat after this year? Even after committing every recruiting violation known to man and attempting to turn the NCAA into an international pro league, his Rainbow Wahine will end conference play with at least 4 losses. Should Hawai'i usher in a new era? I would probably first look at babybacksets or manapuasurprise as likely candidates. This is a question many Hawai’i fans are not ready to face. He has put together a rather mediocre season given his mainly foreign roster and has not been able to find success the last few seasons. If not finding success means being in the NCAA finals 4 straight years.....then we will take it everyday and all day! Lmao |

Hawaii has been more than successful the “last few seasons”: -4 straight NCAA Final Appearances (2019, 2020 season cxl, 2021, 2022, and 2023) -2021 and 2022 NCAA National Champions -AVCA National Player of the year awards (2023 Jakob Thelle; 2021 Rado Parapunov) |

The only reason his seat were to be hot were if his car AC didn't work and he is baking in that island sun. Lol. Other than that, we actually have less international starters than a team like LBSU has. And in fact LBSU may also have more international starters than us next season as well. So yeah lol I couldn't even imagine what something like this would cost to repair on the island. Charlie is fine. Hawaii is fine. Recruits coming in are fine. There are plenty of internationals in the game all across the nation. Look at each of the conferences/teams rosters. From Israel, France, Bulgaria, Austria, Poland, Turkey, Dominican Republic, Germany, Spain, Puerto Rico, Italy, Philippines, Czech Republic, Zimbabwe, Canada, Mexico, Australia, Japan-- those are just the ones I've seen come in the matches I've broadcast this year. Most of the guys I've spoken with are GOOD guys who can play excellent ball. The only problem I have is they receive good American coaching and come back to get us in international competitions! |
