Woo hoo! Great job, Anteaters! Not sure. How does this impact Hawai'i at large chances? I'm sure it makes it harder. But I like the UCI program and do want to see them in the NCAA tournament. |

Hawaii hit .450 to UCSD's .045 and really put the Triton offense in tough spots.
Both teams have 4 blocks a piece to this point. Hawaii dealt 4 more aces but added 5 service errors. 5 Hawaii players have an ace. Louis has 3 of them and only 2 service errors.
Alaka'i has 7 kills hitting .500 to lead Hawaii while Cherfan has 8 kills hitting .429 for UCSD.

I hope the tournament expands next year! Yes, I would love that but I'm not sure if the committee will give the Big West 2 at-large bids. UCI's win makes this an even more exciting season! The 2 teams that make it to the BWC Tournament Championship Match will be in the NCAA Tournament. That means, either LBSU, Hawaii, or UC Irvine, will not make the NCAA Tournament. Whichever one of these teams that does not make it to the BWC Tournament Championship Match. The BWC Tournament Semi-Final Matches will be a Dog Fight.

GCU needs to lose early in the MPSF tournament imo in order to lose that other at large? Do I think they personally deserve it? Nope. |
