Tread's set location, and decision making has a lot to be desired. Might be time to turn to Kaulings as the Setter.

Tangent while we wait for the time out: How did 4 setters get in to the 14-man all conference team, but just 3 OHs. I would have given Tread's spot to Kurt or Varga.

They know if they wanna win they gotta go for it. Great strategy tbh It's actually not materializing from the service line though and their strategy is actually keeping this closer. Hawaii's passing isn't great but they aren't shanking too many balls. Hawaii's offense is falling apart at the second touch. The Gauchos winning this with transition defense and offense and good FBSO with a ridiculous 81.8% side out percentage. I hear ya. But I feel like they have no choice but to serve tough to win this. Not transpiring out now. But I get feeling it will pay off in the next sets.

In men's volleyball, everybody has to serve tough to win matches. That's why the serves are high risk/high rewards vs the women's game. Yes, if the Gauchos can get it in and be disruptive then the strategy will be executed.

Still do not see what all the talk about how good Tread is, just do not see it. I don’t see it either but everyone else gonna say he’s just 17 give him a break.

Damn. Louis hitting -0.200, Todd flatlining. Those two got 50% of attempts.

Keep in mind ucsb beat the number one team in the country. Doesn't matter at this point. They playing next team up. They have so far risen to the challenge and Hawaii has not. I am hoping Hawaii fights to get back into this. But those errors and wrong times and UCSB is scraping it out is less to be desired. Hopeful but not confident rn.

If those Freshmen coming in next year, play like Tread Rosenthal is, this Hawaii team is in BIG Trouble next year. I really do not care at what level they are playing in their country. Playing at the D1 Level is a very different animal.

Hawaii hit .182 to UCSB's 458.
Bianchi went 6-0-10 and hit a cool .600 to lead his team.
Kurt went 3-0-3 hitting 1.000 to lead his team.
The Gauchos spotted Hawaii 10 points via their 10 service errors. The Warriors mustered only 9 kills, 1 block and 1 ace in that set, scoring just 11 points on their own.

Walmer can stop setting Collins (-.250), and just ride Bianchi (.600) and Coordt (.500).
