Defne is finally playing for Aydın against Nilufer but they still lost set 1. Could be a pretty relevant game for the relegation fight

So I’ve watched most of Ecza’s matches now, and I have yet to see Rettke hit a single slide attack….heck, I don’t think she’s even run the route this year. Is their coach stupid or something (to borrow a phrase from Forrest Gump) Can someone send him tape of what she does well so he moves her from next to Boskivic?

Also like ecza shouldn’t run many slides period. Running the blockers TOWARDS Tijana just makes her like harder. Jack and Rettke should mostly hit in front except for like rotation 4 where Boskovic hits pipes

I attended Saturday's VakifBank-Aras Kargo and Beşiktaş-Bahçelievler matches, and the day was ... wow. So much happened.
I was at the VakifBank-Aras Kargo match mostly because my favorite player is Aras Kargo's back-up setter (Elif Kapar) and I haven't seen her play in person in two years, but I do also like Derya Cebecioğlu.
Got to see Elif play 11 rallies, which was cool (more than I had expected). And it was fun to be amongst Aras Kargo fans for the first time. I liked them. (I was in the away section.) Plus, it was amazing to actually see Aras Kargo take a set from VakifBank. That was fun.
But I also got to see Derya suffer a really bad injury. They don't know how bad yet. It looked to be her ankle. It was a horrible feeling seeing her writhing on the court in pain. She did, several minutes later, limp a few steps, which is a good sign (that she could put any pressure on it at all), before two people carried her to the locker room.
Then I went to the Beşiktaş-Bahçelievler because of, well, Beşiktaş (I support them), and, in the second set, a brawl broke out in the centercourt VIP section, apparently started by the Bahçelievler mayor. Regardless, I've never seen anything quite like that before. And while that was happening, the players were playing through a rally, understandably oblivious to it, being laser-focused on playing, but once the rally ended, they quickly saw what was happening, the referees raced to the locker rooms, and the players stayed on the court but away from that section. (Eventually, both teams would go to their respective locker rooms)
After a 40-minute break, they finally resumed play, and the incident that had happened took the sporting atmosphere to another level. It was then like a playoff match atmosphere-wise, by far the most intense BJK volleyball atmosphere that I've ever experienced. But, as you know, that support/intensity wasn't enough to push the team to a win, and Beşiktaş is no longer undefeated (now 4-1 overall, 2-1 in league play).
And Bahçelievler is now 3-0 in league play, which is very impressive for the newly promoted side.
