Ok so just rewatched the “red card” sequence. I have no idea what this ref was doing or decided.
1. It was clearly invasion. The ball was probably in the plane of the net but the Ecza player clearly reached too far while Merve was trying to play it. Once again fueling my “why cant we challenge invasion?” agenda.
2. Coach, assistant coach, and Brako (the captain) were clearly pissed that they cropped the video of his net touch challenge to not show the obvious invasion. Definitely kept arguing too much and one of them got a deserved yellow card. Trt display said it was Recep but ref seemed to be pointing at Brako.
3. After that there was arguing among the players and teams and then Saliha came up to the ref and was shown a red card. Even though she definitely wasnt shown the yellow card.
4. Saliha (and everyone else) kept playing.
