Who? Sorry, this is mean spirited, but the dude is hitting negative and has been aced a couple of times. Play Flexen/Henno of the left and William on the right like a normal person coaching a team instead of playing 438843D chess lmao? Another epic coaching job failure by Kniffin I fear. Kniff makes the switch in this set to Henno-Flexen-D'Arcy. And I can't fault Kiriakou for "hitting negative". They only set him twice. That wasn't his intended role. He was in there for the ball control, which was good for a set and a half and then fell apart in the 3rd. Interesting. This is why depth plays such an important role. It's a shame really, I thought when healthy and playing the best lineup that works best that UCI had legitimate shot to win it all. |

Kniffin sticking with Andon Kiriakou rather than putting in Darcy at oppo and Flexen at OH is certainly bold. With Flexen hitting .625 on the right, maybe he supposes to keep Flexen on the right until he cools down. Still certainly bold to choose Kiriakou's 9th set ever in college be in the Final Four. Bold and absolutely the wrong choice... Especially, considering how well UCI is doing in set 4 w/ Flexen at OH and Darcy at OPP... And then a very unsuccessful use of the double sub. Sometimes, Kniffin just needs to get out of his own way... |

Everyone can quiet down about this. While I agree, we have the advantage of hindsight.
Can we all acknowledge how genius it was to match up Darcy as the defensive middle blocker against McHenry? One of the more brilliant tactical decisions I've seen this season.

UCI looked lost after Rowan’s serving run in the third set and looked defeated going into the fourth set but they got the momentum somehow.
