Houston swept Kansas State? I’m genuinely worried they’re not even gonna be able to beat like Cincinnati and West Virginia at this point although they’re somehow magically gonna click when they play arizona aren’t they… Arizona - how about their actual rival Kansas. No doubt in my mind that is when they will click. From all indications - it sounds like they made some progress yesterday. They are changing lineups right and left right now and certainly going through a horrible spell. |

Anyone know what's going on with Splawska at CU? I was expecting her to start, but she hasn't played at all...injured, redshirting? Our MB2 has had pretty poor numbers the last couple of matches.

Arizona State’s Geli Cyr (offensive), Baylor’s Lauren Briseño (defensive) and BYU’s Alex Bower (rookie) earned weekly Big 12 volleyball awards following the first week of Conference action.
Cyr had a career-high 18 kills in the Sun Devils’ first Big 12 win against No. 22 TCU in Fort Worth. The business major followed with her first double-double of the year against now-No. 14 Baylor, leading all players with 17 kills while adding 12 digs. The senior from Flower Mound, Texas has had double-digit kills in four consecutive matches and is the first player from ASU to receive the league’s Offensive Player of the Week recognition.
Briseño helped the Bears bring home two wins during the week including a four-set win over then-No. 14 Arizona State. The senior led BU in digs for both matches, including 21 in the victory over the Sun Devils. The native of San Antonio had a reception percentage of .889 for the week which included zero errors in the ranked matchup with ASU. This is her second Defensive Player of the Week title this season and of her career.
Bower commanded the BYU offense with her fifth double-double of her debut season with 40 assists and 13 digs against Colorado. The setter from Nampa, Idaho tied a career-high against Texas Tech with three service aces while adding 34 assists. The freshman’s 10.57 assists per set ranked fourth among league players during the week while her 0.57 service aces per set finished seventh to claim her first career weekly accolade.

Some big games this week in the state of Utah for teams wanting to be a T16 seed.
Seems to me that this conference is a max of 7 teams making the tournament, with 6 being the likely outcome.
Kansas, Arizona State, TCU, Baylor seem like locks to make the tournament. Utah and BYU are likely. And Arizona is the only other team in the conference that is within spitting distance of making the tournament.
