I agree that Grand Canyon woke Long Beach up. That was a miss.
Theo - I love your comments on the portal - Culture and sacrifice. Top teams build that. What happens off the court is a big part of a championship team. Thank you for saying that.
I like your attitude, approach, knowledge of the game, experience... - the young men you coach are fortunate. You are building something nice at Northridge.

Great episode! And very timely commentary on the transfer portal, would love to get a full episode on that.
Also the team cultures.... Well at least the UH team culture is now fixed due to the "bad apple" leaving! #justiceforkairodriguezandfriends

I truly appreciate the comments CoastalVB, but I just facilitate. It's the coaches who are giving the insight for a volley nerd like me to learn. The diversity of the panel gives such a great combination of views from the "Young Buck" coaches like Brad & Theo, to the "Salty Dogs" of Jay and Dan. It's from these guys I've learned a ton, as well as the from the coaches who are willing to have conversations-- and I'll tell you that it's mainly over 95% of them (I honestly can't think of any who haven't). I also deeply appreciate the questions, dialogue, comments (in person and via DM) that I receive throughout the season. It allows me to consider the vast array of experience and opinions to bring together this group and ask honest topics and questions! Thank you for listening... |

robonthemic more questions to add to the list - 1. Which gyms do the coaches HATE playing at? 2. Which gyms do they like and would always want on their schedule? 3. If they couldve poached any ONE player to their 2024 squad, who would it be?

On the podcast the AVCA Committee said it was a done deal even before the vote. |

On the podcast the AVCA Committee said it was a done deal even before the vote. lol i guess i was expecting an answer like theyd want Briggs bcuz they need a strong libero, or a McHenry bcuz theyre lacking in middles, etc Maybe say "except Henno" 😂 |
