So that is Poulter, Frantti, SWP, M. Skinner, Fleck and probably Hall in that huddle. Interesting. Didn't see that coming. SWP for ball control... Frantti for the don't care who's there swings... Poulter to be tested early to see what she can do when it gets real. Chi, not necessary, we don't use the middle.

So long as the US wins in the end...ultimately its all good...right? Everyone has a beef with kumbaya, but if the US delivers where it counts, then that really is all that matters in the end, no?

What if the US loses all its matches at the VNL..but so-and-so player played decently individually?

Ideal state would be the girls winning and Karch losing, but that doesn’t seem possible.

Yes, USA winning gold at the Olympics is all that matters. But… If the cost of winning once set precedent and standards that created a culture that will prevent them from winning again in the future that’s a problem. Not saying that’s anywhere near the case. That’s just when it would become not worth it.

I think she was on the Pan Am roster last year too. she didnt play at all in Germany this year though.. Having her in camp over Serena Gray or Tia Jimerson (who was the best middle in Germany, even over both Dutch middles) is bizarre.

Wasn’t she good the year before because Timmerman and Strubbe were both better.

So that is Poulter, Frantti, SWP, M. Skinner, Fleck and probably Hall in that huddle. Interesting. Didn't see that coming. Before these pics, my prediction was: Poulter/M. Skinner Larson/A. Skinner Butler/Hall Fleck Same reason for poulter, thought Karch would want Larson to get some rust off. Also I feel like it would have been cool to have the sisters be on the same lineup, but I guess not Karch
